[S15] Bringing back ADC (Yunara) ♡

By millysenpai
.
Hi my name is Milly. I'm British born Chinese.

~I try to stream as much as I can on Twitch, so feel free to stop by and ask questions if you're unsure about anything!

I started playing League in Season 4 :) / peaked platinum 1 and failed the diamond promos a few times and just had enough (this was before they added emerald). After emerald was added in, I peaked at emerald 2 80lp ish~

If this guide has helped you in any way please Vote up & Share.
I hope to make more guides in the future! If you would like more indepth guides on how to build x champion, what skills, runes, etc. Do let me know and i'll do my research and find the best options and make it, I love helping people and I have received a lot of feedback on other guides and that it helped them!

Pro's & Con's
PROS
❣ Good for auto attackers, good poke
    ❣ Good sustain in lane
❣ E can be used for dodging, better placement in lane
❣ Can be played aggressive (similar play style to Aphelios & Zeri)
CONS
❣ Main focus in team fights :(
❣ Squishy target as ADC's are
    ❣ Mobility not so good
❣ Make sure not to get caught so you can pop off otherwise you're a bit screwed
Skills
Vow of the First Lands (Passive) : Yunara's critical strikes deal additional magic damage.
Cultivation of Spirit (Q): She gains stacks of unleash by attacking enemies. When she reaches max stacks she can activate her Q to unleash for a few seconds (this looks similar to Alphelios [Infernum], deals attack damage then also physical damage to the enemies behind them. She gains attack speed, bonus damage on hit and deals splash damage to a small area with each attack. Unleash stacks decay quickly out of combat.
Arc of Judgment (W): Yunara sends a swirling prayer bead out, which damages and slows enemies as it travels. The swirling prayer slows down any time it hits a target then lingers and expands. Continuing to add damage to enemies if they are close.
Kanmei’s Steps (E): She grants a small burst of movement speed which is similiar to Kaisa's [Supercharger] where she grants a bit of movement speed. While transcended she would dash instead.
Transcend One's Self (R): She would enter her transcended state for several seconds that enhance all of her basic abilities for a duration (Q, W, E, R).
Cultivation of Spirit (Q) - Instantly activates and empowers her attacks
Arc of Ruin (W) - The activated abilitiy she will fire a beam of spirit magic that slows and deals damage in a line.
Untouchable Shadow (E) - While transcended she would gain a dash instead of movement speed.
Summoner Spells
❥ I pick Flash on D and Heal/ Barrier on F as others may choose the other way around, I don't have much of a reason to it but I feel more comfortable playing with the spells on D and F. Having Barrier also gives a small amount of shield or so to survive from ignite or last hits.

Heal can be an alternative to Barrier For example you may have a Yasuo ADC that may take Flash & Exhaust.

Exhaust is okay but it wouldn't be my ideal pick as in some team fights if they have a Tryndamere or Olaf, Exhaust has no real effect when they are in Ult.
Runes
Honestly its how you feel with the Precision runes, because all of them can be viable, its what you feel comfortable on.
Fleet Footwork: Moving and basic attacking generates energize stacks, up to 100 (sounds a bit like static shiv 👀). At 100 charges you become energized which empowers your next basic attack and heals you, 10-130 for melee amd 6-78 for ranged. Also bonus per attack damage or ability power as well as bonus movement speed, how ever against minions, the healing is 15% effective.

OR
Press the Attack: A little common to be used for most ADC's, hitting an enemy champion with 3 consecutive basic attacks deal 40-180 bonus adaptive damage.

OR
Lethal Tempo: Basic attacks on-attack against enemy champions grant a stack for 6 seconds. Gain 6% for melee / 4% for ranged, bonus attack speed for each stack. Up to 30% for melee and up to 24% for ranged. At max stacks, attacks fire a note that deals 9-30 for melee / 6-24 for ranged. Stacks expire by one every 0.5 seconds when the duration ends.

OR
Conqueror: Dealing damage to the enemy champion grants you stacks of conqueror, this lasts for 5 seconds. This can stack up to 12 times, you gain 2 for melee or 1 for ranged. Each stack of Conqueror grants 1.08−2.4 bonus attack damage or 1.8−4 ability power, up to 12.96−28.8 bonus attack damage or 21.6−48 ability power at maximum stacks (depending on level), at which you also heal for [8% for Melee and 5% for Ranged] of the post-mitigation damage dealt against enemy champions.
Triumph: Getting a takedown against a enemy champion heals you for 2.5% of your maximum health. Which means 5% of your missing heal and gives you an additional 20 gold, I mean this sounds like a win win for adc's.
Legend: Alacrity: Gain 3% attack speed plus an additional 1.5% for ever legend stack (max 10 stacks). Honestly I don't see a reason not to choose this, more attack speed?? Great for maximizing damage output, even in the late game sheesh
Cut Down: This rune is chosen to provide bonus damage vs other champions that have more HP than you. Deals between 5-15% bonus damage, this can be extremely helpful if the other team has tanky champions.

With Sorcery Runes
Axiom Arcanist: ULT has 12% increased damage (reduced to 8% for AOE abilities), healing and shielding, scoring a takedown on an enemy champ reduces your ult cd by 7%. Sounds pretty good considering Yunara needs her ult to activate her regular abilities and do some more damage.
Gathering Storm:
Every 10 minutes you gain extra AD or AP. You could use other runes from socery but I feel like this is quite effective and for her abilities it makes sense to me. You could change to Biscuit Delivery because who doesnt want to stay in lane longer or to sell it and permanently increase your maximum mana. Or you could go for Magical Footwear then you get boots after 12 minutes and gain an additional 10 bonus movement speed.

OR Sorcery Runes
Absolute Focus: While above 70% health, you gain an adaptive bonus of 1.8 to 18 attack damage or 3 to 30 ability power (based on level). Getting both this and coupe de grace means you can cover yourself for being above 70% hp and below 40%. To me it just feels safe to cover both sides. Whether you want to play aggressive and take lots of fights or to be under tower because nobody wants to come :(

OR Inspiration Runes
Magical Footwear: Get free boots at 12 minutes, but this means you cant buy the regular boots for 300g. For every takedown you do, it reduces the timer to get the boots by 45 seconds. Better get them takedowns (haha)
Biscuit Delivery: Gains a biscuit every 2 minutes until 6 minutes, consuming a biscuit will permanently increase your max hp by 30 and if you sell the biscuit then you also gain increased help and 5 gold. I often pick this so I can stay in lane longer other than relying on her potion for lane + lifesteal from dorans blade.
Offense x2 + Defense x1: 1st & 2nd Adaptive Force for +9 Adaptive Power over Armour and Magic Resist. Last rune is +10-180 Bonus Health (since the update I've only been using this rune.
Item Build
I have combined a list for all the items you "should" build for Yunara. Some optional/situational items too, obviously depends on your matchup.
This should be a standard first item 2 Health Potion, this has +10 attack dmg, +80 Health + 3% Life steal. Almost every ADC will choose this or Cull usually I see Sivir players buy this. I mean if you wanted to you could also go with Long Sword and 3 health potions.
Default boots for most ADC,s they provide attack speed and grants consistent damage. Gives 30% attack speed and 45 movement speed. But there are other boot options that may be better depending on the situation and the comp.
Honestly if i'm ahead in lane I would always try to build this first as its pretty OP even in laning phase, you'd become such a bully, the enemy knowing you're ahead which is scary. It gives you addition 80 attack damage, 25% critical strike chance and 40 critical strike damage. It's like two items in one, always a must build item for full build.
I would consider getting atleast one lifesteal item, this items gives 80 attack damage and 18% lifesteal. I feel like I see a lot of ADC's that would choose this item over a couple. You could build Blade of the Ruined King instead but its personal preference.
Once you AA a target, it will also fire 2 additional enemies near the target. Each bolt deals physical damage, this item has 40% attack speed, 25% crit strike chance and 4% movement speed. I usually see this being built on champions like Kai'Sa, Kog'Maw, Zeri, etc. Definitely a good item on Yunara considering her abilities that attack more than one minion/mob at a time. Great wave clear too.
Often built for armour pen, which helps deal more damage to enemy champs that have a ton of armour (we dislike this). This item has 35 attack damage, 40% armour pen and 25% crit strike chance. Also optional to build Mortal Reminder, just depends on team comp and what you feel like.
On attacking a champion you gain 30% attack speed for 6 seconds (with 30s cd), the item itself has 55 attack damage and 35% attack speed. This item helps maximize their damage output and great for scaling. Synergizes well with IE.
nashor tooth

~ So these next items listed can be the can be used in the final build, totally up to you whether you use them or not :)
Phantom Dancer becomes parm ghosted, provides 60% attack speed, 20% crit strike chance and 12% movement speed. This item seems popular on some ADC's and may help in chasing targets that are trying to get away but also maintain a distance from targets.
Rapid Firecannon unique pasaive for this item grants a bonus range at 150 which means you can be poking from a little further with your AA. Moving and basic AA generates energize stacks that go up to 100.
Guardian Angel gives you a 2nd chance while fighting. Who doesn't want that? Ideal item for full build, but becareful not to die in silly spots where your team can't help you :(
Provides +45 armour and +55 attack damage,with a 300s cooldown.
Navori Flickerblade, attacks reduce ability cooldown by 15% of their remaining CD. This can be an alternative item to runaans hurricane.
Shadowflame gives a lot of Ability power and has a small bit of magic pen. M-dmg and true damage critically strikes enemies below 35% HP and deal 20% increased damage.
Immortal Shieldbow, taking damage would reduce your health below 30% and grant you a shield for 3 seconds. This item is good against champions that have burst damage. Alternative item to runanns hurricane.
Mortal Reminder the other armour pen item for ADC's. It also inflicts opponents that hit you with 40% grievous wounds for 3s. Its a great pick against opponents that can heal themselves eg Soraka, Sona, Seraphine, Nami, etc.
The Collector gives you an additional 25 gold upon killing champions. Also contains some lethality and good for going lethality runes generally, it has 60 attack damage and 20% crit strike chance. I don't always build this item personally.
Guinsoo's Rageblade, honestly who doesn't like this item as a ADC, gathers stacks meaning faster AA, this item stacks up to 4 times and grants 8% attack speed for 3 seconds. 30 attack damage and ability power with an additional 25% attack speed.
Blade of the Ruined King is an alternative to bloodthirster, used to cut through tanks or champions who have heaviliy stacked health like cho'gath, dr.mundo, aatrox, etc. This item is now auto since the update, no need to click.
Nashor's Tooth deals bonus magic damage on hit. This item has 80 ability power, with 50% attack speed and an additional 15 ability haste. I saw this item being picked from other videos, I have added it here incase anyone wants to use as well. I feel this would be more of a hybrid pick.
