What is an Offtank ?

Overall, your role is : Maintain the pressure on your opponent (usually the weaker), for this you have to poke your opponent. It's why we need ability power but you have to protect your ally too. It's why we need armor and wards.

Skarner REALLY can increase your win rate, because he is rarely played, and it's not everyone who can counter him, played well.

These runes are made to play safe and allow to do more damage. I love this. With his Crystalline Exoskeleton(W), Skarner is very hard to kill. I will return on this soon.

Again, we play safe here with a little bit of damage and a lot of defense. Why UTILITY ? Simply, Meditation (Mana) is a must on Skarner, because he needs a lot of Mana. Don't forget to buy a Chalice Of Harmony for this.

- Early Game -

Against AD, start with a Seeker's Armguard, and continue with a Zhonya's Hourglass.

Against AP, start with a Chalice of Harmony and continue with an Athene's Unholy Grail.

- Mid Game -

After the build up of an Athene's, build Zhonya's. Or after the build up of Zhonya's, build Athene's. Because at this stage, you probably will quit your lane and fight AP+AD.

- Late Game -

Thornmail and Sunfire Cape Usually, at this step, with the Thornmail, the opponents really suffer.
