Hello people of the internet! I am Secimon, a casual player on the NA server who started playing in Season 5, and this is a guide to my favorite ever-jolly support, Bard - The Wandering Caretaker. If you don't feel like reading the whole guide, that's OK! There is a quick tips and summary section included. I spent a lot of time working on this, so I hope that it proves enlightening and helpful to all who want to learn the merry caretaker. Enjoy!

Pros:

- Amazing Teamfighting
- Lane Bully.exe
- Vision and Roaming is extremely easy
- Decent Late Game Heal
- Low CD stuns
- Strong Late game scaling with Passive
- With 45% CDR, you have a 40 second CD on a game-changing ult

Cons:

- Short AA range
- No true escapes without portal
- Skillshot reliant
- Q has a short range
- Ult can make huge mistakes if used poorly, can get your entire team killed.
- Can accidentally tilt your ADC if you roam too much during lane phase.

Bard is at his most effective when he has an aggressive AD carry that can also take care of themselves in lane, an enemy team with either low peel or dive potential, and someone on his team with good teamfighting. So if, for example, you see something along the lines of:

TOP: Illaoi (Teamfighting/Tanky)
JG: Gragas (Peel/Damage/Tankish)
Mid: Orianna (Damage/Zoning)
ADC: Caitlyn (Damage4days/Personal Escape)
Sup: Bard

Their Team:
Top: Shen
JG: Udyr
Mid: Karthus
ADC: Kog'Maw
Sup: Alistar
Now would be a GREAT time to take Bard!
