This build aims at utilising the DAMAGE and DISTANCE of Jayce's Acceleration Gate & Shock Blast combo. It works best for Mid because Mid champions are usually squishier. However, if played correctly, it is also applicable to Top & Bot.

Runes combination is flexible. Make sure it is AD-focused.

Jayce's greatest strength is the DAMAGE and DISTANCE of his Acceleration Gate & Shock Blast combo. This build aims to maximise the potential of this combo by focusing on AD and CDR. Crit, life steal or attack speed items are useless in this build.



Picking Cull or Doran's Blade doesn't really matter in early game as you'll just keep farming.



ESSENTIAL! These are the source of your mana. Get Tear of the Goddess before buying anything else.



ESSENTIAL! Complete this right after Tear of the Goddess.



ESSENTIAL! Black Cleaver is the most useful item in this build, making Jayce more well-rounded. Its passive benefits Jayce on all fronts. Health, Rage, CDR, AD, Armor Reduction...



For extra offensive items, pick TWO of the above according to your oppositions, Maw of Malmortius / Mercurial Scimitar against AP and Mortal Reminder against Tanks. Death's Dance gives you more sustainability.



The last item should be defensive. The choice is straight forward regarding your opposition. Just don't buy Spirit Visage when you have Death's Dance.
