Introduction

Hello everyone my name is Lord Morowgar. I am Nostiff’s friend and I wanted to help him create a guide for Annie. I played Annie from season one and I got to platinum with her.
I have around 5000 games with her and I have met with a lot of good midlaners and was in a lot of different situations. So now I want to share that experience with you.

BUILD

STARTING ITEMS

For starting items I take Doran’s Ring 2x Health Potion and Stealth Ward.
When I first go back I usually take Boots, Catalyst of Aeons and Blasting Wand with hope of buying Rod of Ages as fast as possible. If you have enough gold when you first back buy it.

CORE ITEMS

Items that are most important on Annie are Luden’s Echo, Rod of Ages, Sorcerer's Shoes.
I really taught about Luden’s Echo and Rabadon's Deathcap but I chose Luden’s Echo at the end. The reason is more burst on start and it goes well with Thunderlord's Decree .

SITUATIONAL ITEMS

In some different situations I take Morellonomicon, Abyssal Mask and Rylai's Crystal Scepter
I get Morellonomicon only when there is a Soraka or Swain in the enemy team. I replace Rod of Ages with it and I buy it for my first item.
Abyssal Mask is useful against a lot of ap bursters and I only take it if they kill me first. It replaces Void Staff.
I take Rylai's Crystal Scepter when I don’t have any tank and when the enemy team only focus me. The slow and the health mean a lot because I can control fights easier. In most cases It replaces Void Staff.
Have in mind that with Annie attacking is the best way to defend yourself. And there is no need for more tanky items.

Runes

For Marks i take 9x Greater Mark of Magic Penetration. Take them for more damage on your spells.

For Seals i take 9x Greater Seal of Armor. Good for sustain.

For Glyphs i take 9x Greater Glyph of Magic Resist. Good for sustain.

And for Quintessences i take 3x Greater Quintessence of Ability Power.

Assassins recently got buffed so I made a few adjustments when I’m playing versus some type of them.

For Marks i take 9x Greater Mark of Magic Penetration. Take them for more damage on your spells.

For Seals i take 9x Greater Seal of Armor. Good for sustain.

For Glyphs i take 9x Greater Glyph of Armor. Good for sustain.

And for Quintessences i take 1x Greater Quintessence of Ability Power and 2x Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed because that movement speed helps me get away from them and evade his spells better.

Spells

Passive- Pyromania: With this passive your every 4 attack will make stun. You can stun with your Q your W and with R.

Q- Disintegrate: This spell is the strongest of 3 normal spells( without ulty ) it is spell you need to upgrade every time you can and it is easiest to stun enemies because it is not skill shot.

W- Incinerate: This spell you can use to farm,in fact when you don't have your Q,that will not bring your mana back but you will not loose much mana and every farm is important. You can use it for AOE stun after Tibbers, or when there is more than one enemy.

E- Molten Shield: This spell is important because you can pick your passive easily and give you enough armor to more survive.Don't think this spell is useless because it is not.

R- Summon: Tibbers: This is one of the strongest ultys in combo with your Flash and Pyromania. AOE stun, crazy damage and Tibbers who will enrage after your die,you need to love this bear and he will love you back!

Mid Lane

Let's talk about mid lane. Annie is one of the easiest mid laners who has big damage,cc and can farm very good. Your biggest problem is your range. That is a reason Syndra, Lux and Xerath is a main counter pick for Annie.I don't want to spend time talking about matching vs Twisted Fate, Cho'Gath, Yasuo, Zed... Lets talk about your biggest counters.

It is simple, you will wait for your jungler and kill them with Flash+stun..but you don't have flash every 20 seconds...so go and Roam... Annie is a good roam champion. Ok, she is slow but when top is pushed you can come from the back and with stun you can kill someone easily, on bottom too wait for Thresh, Blitzcrank Q or Sona ulty and than jump in. If thing starts bad, Annie is weak so go and roam. On mid you will be ****ed, but if things go well you will be legendary. Important thing is that don't overstay on mid lane if your enemies go back when you make them to.. You can back too and buy items. That is the biggest mistake i make and i usually end up dead. Try not to make the same mistake as me and i will try to do that too. :)

Tips for your passive

Annie’s passive is Pyromania, I think it’s one of the strongest passives in game. But the thing is that you need to know how to use it.

Try to hide your intentions and when you want to attack or when your jungler is coming have three stacks of your passive up and save Molten Shield to get the 4th stack and then engage and watch them melt.
