Phase Rush Rune Page

Phase rush is the best go to rune page for ryze because it gives him movement speed to kite enemy champions

Manaflow Band		Take Manaflow Band because it lets you get early mana stacks easily with Ryze's Spell Flux.
Transcendence		This gives Ryze the cooldown at level 10, but also lets him get more AP because it gives bonus AP after the excess CDR past 40%.

Gathering Storm		This helps Ryze become a late game machine with the scaling AP

Taste Of Blood

Very useful in laning phase because it gives Ryze more sustain in lane. You can even use it to save yourself from last ticks of Ignite by procing it with Spell Flux.

Ravenous Hunter

The best rune for domination Ryze. This works really well with Spell Flux and even Overload because of the INSANE healing with AOE.

Overload

I use this skill to last hit minions against ranged champs(hard matchups) such as . After casting, you can follow up with Lunar Rush to reset its cooldown. I use Crescent Strike on minions so that I can Lunar Rush to it, which brings me closer to the enemy; this makes landing Moonfall easier!

Rune Prison

This ability roots enemy in place if used on a champion that has a stack of Spell Flux. Use this ability to get out of bad trades and incoming ganks.

Spell Flux

This skill sends a runic energy at enemy and marks them. If you hit a marked enemy with Overload it does bonus damage, while Rune Prison roots them in place. Use this ability to get stacks of Manaflow Band against hard/ranged matchups.

Realm Warp

This skill activates a warp on the map and sends you,teammates,or minions to the location. It's best to use this ability to backdoor or send minions to the turret for it to tank.

Starting Items

Sapphire Crystal gives more mana to Ryze early, allowing him to use more abilities and do more damage early game. It also sets him up for his first buy Tear of the Goddess.

First Back

This is the first item you want to rush on Ryze because it lets him stack Archangel's Staff prior to buying the item.

2nd Buy Ahead

You want to rush this item because once the item is fully stacked and completed, it gives ryze bonus AP and a mana shield which makes him insane at killing. Faker rushes this item when ahead because it gives the most stats and a defensive active that lets him punish enemies easier.

Third Buy

This is Ryze core item because Rod of Ages lets him scale into mid-late game with the bonus AP and mana stats that it provides. You should not rush this item if you already have an early lead with Ryze, but rather Archangel's Staff.

Fourth Buy

---

You want to hold this item just incase for teamfights because stopwatch prevents those assassins from 1 shotting you in essential objectives like dragon or herald.

Fifth Buy Super Ahead

This item lets Ryze hit his powerspike with the % bonus ap it provides.

Fifth Buy Super Behind

---

Buy this so you have more defensive stats, but as well as become untargettable for 2.5 seconds.

Fifth Buy Vs Heavy Ap Team

This item gives Ryze insane amount of magic resist and hp for those mages mid-late game.

Sixth Buy

This should be the last item or 2nd last item to complete to negate magic resist from the enemy team.

COMPLETE STANDARD CONQUEROR BUILD

This build is the most optimal build you can go every game on Ryze. You can build Morellonomicon against healing team comps. The mercs tread lets him kite easily because of the reduced crowd control. The archangel's staff gives ryze bonus mana and a shield for those teamfights. The rod of ages gives him scaling bonus stats in the mid-late game. Rabadon's deathcap gives him the % bonus ap to round ap the power spike. The void staff negates the magic resist that they build. Last but not least, but the zhonyas avoids Ryze getting 1 shot in teamfights SHOULD he get focused.
