Introduction

Okay so, this is my first guide to a champion I like - Shaco. Not sure if you'll like the build, considering everyone has a unique way of playing each champion. But yeah, here goes.
Also, please do not downgrade before trying this build out. And huh, constructive criticism is always welcome. No, really, please do give me constructive criticism.

And yeah, there may be some grammar mistakes, please do ignore them because my mother language isn't English. Hope you understand that.

Okay so, let's get on to the good stuff, shall we?

Acronyms

JITB - Jack in the Box
AS - Attack Speed
AD - Attack Damage
Shiv - Two Shiv Poison
Clone - Hallucinate
Armor Pen - Armor Penetration

Pros / Cons

Pros

+ Great DPS'er
+ Amazing control of paths with his JITB - Jack in The Box
+ Good escape mechanism

Cons

- Squishy
- Can be hit even if he's stealthed, with AoE attacks.
- Has a low mana pool, which is a problem early game.

Runes

I go for Armor Pen Runes ( Greater Mark of Desolation Greater Quintessence of Desolation) because I'm one of those people that think they work better than Attack Damage ones. Armor ( Greater Seal of Armor) so I beef up a little, and not die that often. Finally Flat CDR runes ( Greater Glyph of Cooldown Reduction) to ensure I can always deceive away when I need to.

Items

Start off with Cloth Armor and 2 Health Potions. Get to blue buff if there aren't any junglers on your team. If there are, skip this step. Plant your Jack In The Box there. Five of them will do. After you get blue buff head over to your designated lane.

Try to approach the lane by going to the side bushes, and planting a Jack In The Box there. This will provide you with a 90 second ward and will also serve as an escape mechanism, because as you may know, it's scary to chase a Shaco into the bushes.

By the time you're level 4, you should've grabbed a kill or two and got enough money for your Phage, sometimes for your boots of speed aswell. Go back if you're comfortable to do so, or stay in lane if you don't feel like you need items just then.

By level 6, get Berserker's Greaves. And let the ganking begin. (Only do this if your team is laning nicely, and if there aren't any towers dead on your side. If it's a balanced game, there won't be.)

By the time you reach level 10, you should get your Frozen Mallet and your Zeal or if you're doing good, your B.F. Sword. Now you got your survivability and you can dish out some better damage. With this, you'll take down towers with ease, too.

By level 13, you're expected to have finished your Infinity Edge. If you haven't, go farm like a mad man and get it, otherwise you'll be screwed for the rest of the game. Get your items in order, or sometimes alter it if needed.

Your core build should look like this:

Frozen Mallet Berserker's Greaves Infinity Edge

Situational Items:

Now your 4th Item can be either Defensive or Offensive depending on the route the game is taking, and if you're facing a heavy dps team or not.

Guardian Angel - If you're facing a Heavy DPS team, get this as your fourth item. 'Cause it boosts your survivability every day of the year.

Zeke's Harbinger - Helps a ****load in Teamfights, and also allows you to counter Thornmails more or less.

Last Whisper - If you're facing tanky people with not much HP.

Then your fifth item should be Guardian Angel, if you haven't picked it as your 4th. It boosts your survivability.

Your sixth, Phantom Dancer if you feel you aren't dishing out enough damage, or Banshee's Veil if your damage is fine, but you still can't survive.

And that's it for the Item Build.

Summoner Spells

Recommended Spells

Exhaust - To gank or to escape.
Ghost - Chasing or Fleeing. I prefer this over Flash, since you already possess Deceive, and also because people can flash after you if you flash, and catch you. However if you use Ghost, your chances at escaping get higher, by combining it with Deceive.
Viable Spells

Ignite - Finisher or initiator.
Teleport - Allows you to recall and rapidly get back to your lane, thus not missing out on experience and gold.
Heal - Oh god... Oh god... I'm dying!! My Deceive is on COOLDOWN!... -uses Heal and doesn't die, Deceive gets out of Cooldown- = Surviving.
Surge - It's like, instead of screwing your opponent's damage by using Exhaust, you power up yourself using Surge.

Don't pick them, really.

The rest of them.

Skill Sequence

I grab a point on my Jack In The Box. Then I grab Deceive. At level 3, I put a point in Two-Shiv Poison. I max Deceive and Two Shiv Poison at more or less the same time, always having one point ahead in Deceive, getting Hallucinate at levels 6, 11, and 16. I max out JITB last.

Laning

Top/Bot Lane

Step 1 - Check if there are any junglers on your team. If not, rush to blue buff and start placing JITBS.
Step 2 - Go to your lane and leave one or two JITBs in the river, or at the "riverside" bush.
Step 3 - Get last hits. REALLY. Get them. You can use your Shiv to last hit the minions, since you WILL need the most gold you can get.

That's pretty much it. Remember not to get greedy and that dying to get a kill isn't worth it.
Farming is essencial on Shaco, so you better be good at it!

By level 4 you should have Phage. At level 6, your boots. Then you can start ganking if your lane is easy and if your lane mate can handle soloing for a bit.

Remember to always warn when you're about to gank someone, and to check if everyone's on their respective lanes. Both on your team, and the opposite team. Also, do not try to gank a full health enemy. You'll end up looking like an idiot, trust me, been there done that.

Mid Lane

Do NOT attempt mid laning as AD Shaco. Although it is viable to do it as AP Shaco, due to the awesome damage on your Shiv. If your teammates want you to go mid, since there's a lack of mid champions, you should play as defensively as you can, maxing out your jacks and your shiv at the same time, always leaving some boxes near your tower.
PS: The whole "no mid champions" only happens in solo unranked queues. Ignore that comment if you only play ranked / draft picks.

WARNING! : This will screw your mid game.

Summary

Sooo, I guess that's it. I just felt like posting a guide, even if I'm not the best Shaco player. Like I said on the introduction, feel free to give me constructive criticism.

That's it, good bye and see you on the fields of justice!

PS: Totally just learned how to put those sexy images instead of typing the names of the items. FTW!
