Introduction

Shaco is a very powerful mellee DPS champion with many different play styles.
Some play Shaco in jungle.
Some others play him in lanes.
Some even play him AP(I still don't this get why though).......
I personally prefer to play him in jungle and in lanes.

First of all shaco IS viable in lane although many summoner's don't agree with that. He is very powerful as long as you know how to play with him....
Shaco isn't the best champion in the world. He might be sometimes but not always.
This build is dedicated to all this guys that want to learn how to play with Shaco, or even try, or just want to look at it. This combination of items, runes, skills and masteries gives me awesome games and I hope it helps you too(by that I hope that this build doesn't fail xD)

Anyways I also want to say special thanks to my buddies that supported me during my build creation.
(Chris, Markos, Napoleon, Giovan, Stergios and Petros)

Let's go now.......

Shaco's pros
- Awesome ganker
- Too freaking funny
- Easy team fights kills
- Incredible pusher
- Escape-Chase skills

Shaco's cons
- Squishy
- Oracle's kinda ruins your game and you become predictable
- Runs out of mana quickly
- Hard to master

Skills

Backstab(Passive): Shaco deals 20% bonus damage when striking a unit from behind.

Cost: 90 / 80 / 70 / 60 / 50 mana
Bonus Damage: 40 / 60 / 80 / 100 / 120 %

Jack In The Box (Active): Shaco creates a Jack in the Box at the target location. It will Stealth after 2 seconds, and pop out when an enemy comes near, fearing nearby enemies for a few seconds and attacking them. Summoner Spells

Spells that fit you... "like a glove"

Exhaust This is an awesome spell highly recommended for Shaco. Never go without it.

Ignite Ignite is a very good early game spell. It can be used to get the kill in teamfights too but you must very lucky.

Smite is the ultimate jungle skill. You can't jungle without it.

Rally This is the forgoten spell. No one uses it anymore. So undervalued it can really help in team fights with better AD and health regen.

Spells you could use

Teleport This is a good spell that people use to get to lanes quickly after recalling or for ganks. I believe that it should be only used when a lane is getting pushed, otherwise it's a waste.

:Cleanse Cleanse is a very good spell especially against a team with a lot of stuns and etc... Also helpful when Deceive is on cooldown.

Ghost is one of the best spells. It can be used in many ways but I think that with Shaco you can Escape-Chase-Kill without it.

Spells not to use. Never...at all.

Revive Hell no.

Chlarity Too many people pick it with Shaco but it gets useless after early game.

Fortify Just leave this to the tanks it's not Shaco's job.

Flash Used by a big number of people but Shaco has his own + stealth.

Heal No need for heal with Shaco, you shouldn't be dying.

Items

These items above are the core items I use for Shaco. These items give you a really nice damage output all game long and I use this build in most of the games.

Sometimes though you must change your build so that you can fit better in the team and be more effective against your opponents.

Personally, when I play Shaco and my enemies have a lot of HP and do serious amount of damage with abilities, I follow another build better against high HP players and nukers.

I buy these items in the row listed below.

Or instead of Banshee's Vail you could go with a but only If you want to deal some extra damage.

There is though another build you could use with Shaco. I don't use this one often although it deals a serious amount of damage.

As you can see here there are no boots. That is because with this build it is pretty easy to have a full stacked Sword of the Occult and with Trinity Force you have 35 % increased MS.

NOTE Infinity Edge is a must-get item with Shaco. You just buy it always(as long as the don't surrender before you do). With the CORE build Shaco deals about 1350 critical damage with Deceive. But with the last build Shaco deals with Deceive around 1300 critical damage too.

Early, mid and late game.

Shaco is one of the best champions in my opinion. I do strongly believe that he can beat anybody... seriously If you get owned when playing Shaco then just quit.

Early game
OK here we go.
Always start with a long sword and a health potion and upgrade Deceive. Go check the bush WITHOUT using Deceive. Too many people do it and it's totally idiotic. If they are in the bush they won't have time to kill you even if you run into them. Worst case scenario.... you'll escape with 300 hp so don't waste it. With the runes I recommened you'll score around 130 critical when attacking while stealthed in the first level.
When minions arrive try to play with last hitting.
Don't hit minions all the time, like that the will focus you (you will escape again with deceive but no need to risk)
Be unpredictable, run around if the enemy is an Ezreal so that you can avoid skillshots.
It's easy to get first blood with Shaco and after that try pushing them all the time. Make them be kinda scared of you but not too much because they'll camp in front of their tower for safety.
At level 3 put 2 JitB in front of the Lizard and take it.
As soon as you reach level 4 try ganking mid lane. Do it usually, like that the enemies won't push mid lane which is good and they will start ganking too so place wards along the your riverside to kill them.
When you reach level 6 you should have Sword of the Occult, boots of speed and a dagger before zeal.

Mid game
This is where the party starts.
Buy zeal, have you ? Ok now Lizard is respawning in let's say about 1 minute. Go get wraiths and wolfs. Now it should be out again. Go get Lizard and then gank all lanes. At level 10 both teams will start fighting probably in mid. When that happens just don't go with your team If the can handle them.
Put Jack's in the Box in bushes so that you could get a good look of what's coming and push towers. With Hallucinate you could push a tower and destroy it in no time as long as your teammates keep you enemies busy so that you act alone.
If your teammates can't handle the opponents then go join the teamfights and help your team
By mid game make sure you buy Trinity Force, Greave's and if not a Youmoo's yet, then at least a Brutalizer.

As long as you keep pushing the enemies will see that they should worry about you and they are eventually going to focus on killing YOU first. Until then you would have destroyed 2 turrets.
Now join your team and gank with them and then push. Like that you will dominate 75% of the map and your enemies will probably surrender here but if they don't we'll get into late game.

Late game
This is where Shaco gets absolutely insane. Here you start killing the enemies without mercy.
You should start late game by having these items:
Greave's, Sword of the Occult (full stacked), Trinity Force, Youmoo's Ghostblade and if not the infinity itsself then a B.F Sword and a Pickaxe.
Get golem and Lizard as soon as they respawn and ward baron. Be careful though becasue they might have played a ward there too. So just in case buy a ward to see invisible units too so that you can destroy their wards.
If they have placed a ward there and you destroy it then don't get baron immediately but hide in the bushes with your team becasue the enemies will try to gank you, so you make them a little surprise.
Push all the time. Don't go back just for items. Go only if you have low hp but not because you don't have mana.
Even without mana so no abilities you will be able to do a decent damage to the turrets and the enemies.
Well if they still last and if you have like 4270 to buy Infinity and bloodthirster go back and then the game will be over.
As soon as you start fighting the only one that could win you (only if you are trying to die) would be Rammus with a thornmail.
Keep pushing all lanes and here split with your team.
Let them push bot and top and you stay alone in mid but place JitB for safety in the bushes near you.
Your gameplay will drive the enemies crazy and they will again try to kill you first. You can't let that of course happen so be sure that you covered all possible ways fron where you could be ganked.

How to face 16 random champions(Now Ziggs too)

Here are 15 example champions and how they can be faced by Shaco.
Soraka
Sivir
Zilean
Amumu
Ashe
Blitzcrank
Ezreal
Katarina
Kennen
Pantheon
Teemo
Twitch
Nidalee
Morgana
Miss Fortune
Ziggs

Soraka. When you play against a Soraka the only thing you have to do is focus her.
Ignite can be proved very useful cause she does redused healing. Place JitB in one specific place in the bush and try dragging her inside there, when she's feared she'll be an easy target with Deceive, two-shiv poison and ignite.

Sivir. When playing against a Sivir always push her. Use Deceive to hit her in the beginning and then slow her with two-shiv poison or with exhaust if it's ready. Most important stay into bushes in places she can't hit you with her bommerang and go out only to last hit nearby minions.

Zilean.Don't go near him a lot... try last hitting mostly with two-shiv poison and make sure you have a stun champion allie with you otherwise you won't be able to kill him.

AmumuOk now when playing against an Amumu try to be of his Dandage Toss range and run away when he uses Tantrum. After that go immediately with your opponent and try to take him out. Also if you are kinda risky put a JitB in front of you and when he uses Bandage Toss Deceive, let JitB and your allie hit him and then take him out with attack two-shiv attack and if you have ignite.

Ashe.Against Ashe you can play very agressively. Focus her and try doing as much damage as you can without using all you abilities. Then whe she has about 300 hp and she hasn't reached level 6, Deceive, hit, two-shiv poison hit, hit.

BlitzcrankStay all the time behind minions. If he grabs you though make sure to use deceive right away. Like that he will miss knocking you up and you'll have the chance to kill him easily after that.

EzrealEzreal can be faced pretty easily. Stay behind minions and try to predict his moves. Never use exhaust on him after level 3 though because he will flash away and you will have totally wasted your spell. Use deceive to get some hits on him and then go in the bushes or behind minions right away.As long as you hide you are safe and you can kill him.

KatarinaHere spread out Jack in the Box. Put it every where and go near them. As long as she uses abilities on you you are going to be safe and you'll get a chance to kill her. When she uses her Shunpo JitB are going to fear her and she won't be able to escape. Same with Death Lotus..... easy kills.

KennenWhen playing against a Kennen make sure to stay behind minions or JitB and try attacking him without using deceive first. Don't use it to get into a fight here use it to escape so that he doesn't stun you. If he charges and leaves electricity deceive behind him and when he is back on normal hit him. After that the chance's to stun you are minimum.

PantheonPlaying against a Pantheon with Shaco is pretty easy. Predict when he's gonna stun you and Deceive, hit him and then if you want kill him. You can also put a JitB in front of you and let him stun you. You'll fear him and then you are going to make an awesome 1 vs 1 fight.

Teemo.Teemo can be pretty annoying as an opponent but if you are Shaco then you are the annoying one. Go near him and let him waste his blind skill but as soon as he uses it go away so that he doesn't deal you too mush damage. When it goes away Deceive and hit him from behind. Then use two-shiv poison and then standard hits. He is squishy so you can take him out easily.

Twitch. He is no match for you. Let him stealth himself and act very calm. When he shows up deceive and hit him from behind. His attack speed after the stealth is increased but when those 3 second pass away use two-shiv poison and then get him out.

Nidalee Nidalee is too predictable. When you see her moving away from her minions to get a better angle of you let her use Javelin Toss and as soon as she does move back or go fast into the side, you can even go behind a minion. After that Nidalle has not a chance so go for her.

MorganaAgainst Morgana you do pretty much what you do a against Nidalee. Avoid her Snare then go kill her. Keep attacking with standars hits though because of her shield. You will be fine and with one more kill.

Miss FortuneHere you need to be a little bit more careful. Try staying behind 2 rows of minions so that you can avoid being hit by Double Up and then when she uses Make it Rain... Flash away with Deceive and if you are in a good condition go for the kill. Also flash away with Deceive when she uses her ulti.

ZiggsSince being a new champion, Ziggs is mostly found playing in mid, that though does not indicate that he isn't powerful enough to play in a duo lane.
When playing against him you just got to avoid his Q. If you manage to do that, next you gotta harass him and make sure to keep two-shiv poison for the end so that he cannot escape with his W nor Flash.
