I personally do this Sequence:

There are TWO different core builds you can go;

v1: Voltaic Cyclosword -> The Collector -> Infinity Edge

v1 is for the heavy snowballing games, where you get kills and you have a lead so you can build more expensive items which have "hard" build paths.

v2: Voltaic Cyclosword -> Umbral Glavie -> The Collector

v2 is for those slower games, where you cannot contribute as much, but you still will be able to, since you will be building Umbral Glavie, which helps clear vision, and overall makes you have higher impact in the game you are playing, so you do not feel useless.

Both builds are then usually followed up with a percentage armor penetration item, like Lord Dominik's Regards.
