Introduction

This is my first build ever on Mobafire, but it probably won't be my last. You are free to comment and give me tips, but please do not downrate this guide without leaving a comment on what you think i did wrong, or could be done better.
Thank you guys for reading my guide: Shadowdancing with Akali, A Hybrid Build.

Difference between the Builds

Build 1
This build is the most balanced between AP/AD, but because of that, it is a "glass cannon", which means you deal tons of dmg, but can't take a lot. This is the one i Usually use, since most of the time i can juke with my Twilight Shroud, and get away, but if you're having a bad game, this should not be your build.
Build 2
This build focuses a bit more on AP and defence, and can be used if you're having a bad game, or just want to play a bit more safe.
Build 3
This Build is, like Build 2, focused a bit more on armor and mr, and a little more on AD.

Masteries

Many people are probably wondering why i go 30-0-0 in my Masteries, and so of course i will tell you.
As I've said before, i prefer Akali as a Hybrid Champ, and that requires Hybrid masteries right? I also like champions that can dish out a lot of damage in a very short time, and these masteries help me with that. Even if you have to be a bit careful in large teamfights, as you are squishy and get focused a lot, this is where Twilight Shroud comes into play. If you're in a 1 vs 1 situation though, then you're almost unbeatable due to your high damage, lifesteal, and spell vamp.

Items

In this section i will explain the items that i buy and why i buy them, however, i will only tell what items to get first, and not all of them, since it depends a lot on the game and your enemies. Anywhere i tell you to get Rabadon's Deathcap getting Zhonya's Hourglass is also viable for a little more armor.
Guinsoo's Rageblade
I take Guinsoo's Rageblade both because of the AP and AD, but also because of it's passive, which increases your AP by 6 per stack, and AS by 4% per stack, this means that if you're at 8 stacks, you get 48 AP and 32% extra AS, in addition to the AP and AD it already gives.
Mercury's Treads
Mercury's Treads are in my opinion the best boots for any Akali player, since she gets her @ss kicked by CC. If the enemy team doesn't have any CC though, i would prefer Boots of Swiftness, so i can dart around team fights taking out the squishies faster, or to escape from a fight where i'm dying. You could also get Sorcerer's Shoes, since a lot of your damage will be from your abilities.
Frozen Mallet
Why i'm getting the Frozen Mallet is pretty obvious, but i will anyways explain it. At this point in the game i will be very squishy, and needing a slow, so the perfect item for that is the frozen mallet, since it gives both pretty decent HP and slows enemies when they're hit, and it also gives you a little AD, which is always useful
Hextech Gunblade
The Hextech Gunblade is pretty obvious too, it gives you a pretty good amount of AP and AD, but the biggest reason i get it is because of the lifesteal and spell vamp which gives me very good sustain when added to Twin Disciplines.
Lich Bane
The Lich Bane is an item that synergises perfectly with Akali, it gives you pretty decent AP, while also giving you a bit of MR, and MS. The passive though is what makes this item so awesome, when you use a spell, you deal extra dmg on your next auto attack, then couple that with the bonus from Mark of the Assassin, and you get a HUGE amount of damage from just one auto attack.
Rabadon's Deathcap
This item is awesome, but it is explained in pretty much any AP caster guide, so i won't explain it here.

Skill Sequence

In this section i will explain why i choose my abilities in this order.
Mark of the Assassin:
This is your bread and butter ability, for this build and for most other Akali builds. The reason for this is because if you hit your enemy, then auto-attack, the spell will have cost nothing, and have done a lot of damage. This ability also synergises with Lich Bane very well
Twilight Shroud:
This ability is awesome, it gives you stealth for a pretty good amount of time, and gives a pretty big boost in armor and MR, i get this at level two, mostly for the stealth, and max it last because i feel that i don't need the extra armor and MR while it's up. The main thing i use it for is to keep control of the lane by scaring the enemy and denying them farm, while my team gets loads, though the ability can also be used for juking, and you can completely throw someome off your trail with this spell
Crescent Slash:
This is probably Akali's worst spell, it does OK dmg, but can drain you of energy in just a few seconds. This ability can be used though to farm minions, in the later levels you can clear all the caster minions with the spell and one hit.
Shadow Dance:
Akali's ultimate, this ability is what makes Akali one of the best chasers out there, this combined with Frozen Mallet or Rylai's Crystal Scepter makes it almost impossible to run away from you, while doing dmg, even though the dmg isn't a game changer
