Choose Champion Build:
Introduction
Hello, I've been playing Shen for quite a while, and, after seeing his rework (and playing it), I felt really happy because he really turned into a better champion. Many people don't agree with me, though, so with my knowledge and with some of the YouTubers' thoughts (like Pants are Dragon), I decided to make a guide on this guy that can maybe help you wreck your enemies in lane. Keep in mind, this guide is about the REWORKED Shen, even though he's not released at the time of making this guide. Feedback is appriciated.
I just put that image there because Thunderlord's Decree is... well... Thunderlord's Decree. But, I believe it's not the best choice anymore. Strenght of Ages really proved to me as a good Tank Jungle mastery. Even if Thunderlord's IS better, it will eventually get nerfed or every other mastery will be buffed.
This seemed a little weird at first, didn't it? Keep in mind, this is a Tank build, but, because of the new Q, I believe Devourershould be used to proc the Q faster. Not only does this give you a lot of burst, it also gives you damage and you will still be tanky as cluck. I got the idea of taking Devourer by Pants are Dragon, make sure to check him out. Titanic Hydra gives you a sh!t ton of burst, it's really good on Shen. Other than those two items, your build revolves around (depending on if you're going against AD or AP) Sunfire Cape or Spirit Visage. Both are very good items and are worth taking.
TL;DR:
R>Q>E>W
This one should already be known to everyone.
Flash should be taken on 99% of the champions. But I can take Ig--- NO, YOU CAN'T! But, I know how to---- NO, YOU DON'T! But I can use my E to---- NOPE! NOPE! NOPE! . . . NOPE You should always take it. It's your primary escape, it's used for flashy (Ba-Dum-Tss) plays and all of that good stuff.
Smite is taken for a jungler EVERY TIME. Nope, there are no exceptions. If you don't take it.... oh, who am I kidding, of course you'll take it.
The new Shen is a perfect jungler. His early clears are amazing, you can use Twilight Assault to burst down enemy monsters and you can use Spirit's Refugee to dodge a few hits. Ki Barier will help you survive a few hits too! Stand United is a good ganking tool, you can use it when your ally is in a fight that he isn't going to win or may not win. You can also tell your friend to engage and when he does, you ult him immidiately after. Shadow Dash will always be useful, when engaging, when ganking, when chasing.
You dominate teamfights. Shadow Dash into them and taunt as many of them as you can, and you'll be fine! Throw a Spirit's Refugee in a teamfight and if your enemy is full of AA reliant champions, well, cluck them cuz you'll be countering them so hard! Throw your Stand United on... well, you have many choices. Your Mid-Laner who is also an Assassin running in and attempting to kill their ADC? ULT HIM! Your Top-Laner who's a Tank runs in and engages, but gets low on health? ULT HIM! i guess. Your ADC getting low or simply trying to 1v5 the entire world? ULT HIM! Your Support is low on health? Well, nobody cares about Supports anyways. /cry
