Introduction

Hello, and welcome to my AD Solo top Hecarim guide. This build is a mix of AD, a bit of AP, and tankiness with damage.

In this guide I will go in-depth about most of my choices as Hecarim, and please, before you rate, at least try it.

+ Spammable Rampage for lots of DPS
+ Very quick movement around the map with Devastating Charge
+ Has a lot of lane sustain with Spirit of Dread
+ Good knockback, again using Devastating Charge
+ Great damage + fear in teamfights using Onslaught of Shadows
Cons


- Not very tanky untill Frozen Heart
- Can get beat easily by people with true damage ( Olaf, Ahri, etc)
- If CC'd, ( Frozen Mallet), you will have an 80% chance of dying.

Armor Pen is very good for ANY solo top, and comes in handy in the early game, where some people might start with Cloth + 5 pots, and is also useful just to pierce through the default armor they have.

Along with your armor pen, armor will make just a bit harder to kill. This with your Glyphs, and Spirit of Dread, you will have incredible lane sustain.

Again, you will have more lane sustain against ap tops ( Vladimir, for instance.)

Items

EARLY GAME



Good for extra health, damage, and a bit of extra lifesteal. This is an optional item, if you wish, you could get Boots with Health Potionx3



For some extra lane sustain, this is an OPTIONAL item, you dont HAVE to get it if you don't want too.



This is a very useful item to lower CC amount, or against AP casters. If you are up against somebody with hardly any CC (I mean stuns and slows.) then grab Ninja Tabi.



Gets this against an AD solo top, the slow on it is very useful as well, if you want to get it just for that part. (which I do not recommend), if you are going against an AP, grab Hexdrinker


MID GAME



This is your main damage item, you get AP (for W and R) and AD (for auto, and Q), along with movement + attack speed. It's a GREAT item for Hecarim. (If you started with Hexdrinker, you will have Maw of Malmortius instead.)



A tanky item with mana, which is a very good grab for Hecarim.



A good item for survivabilty in teamfights (or sustain if you're still laning...), and it will eventually be built into a Bloodthirster.



A mix of mana, and lots of armor. A perfect mix for Hecarim. This will boost your survivability by about 50%, at least! And with the mana, you will be able to spam Q more! hurray!

LATE GAME



A bit of magic resist and attack damage. grab this for their AP casters.



A bit more mr and ad than Hexdrinker, plus the passive for +1 AD for every 1.5% hp missing. It's a must grab.



More lifesteal and AD, with a combination of the passive, is a great (also optional) damage item for Hecarim.



The final item for your build! Armor and Crit-chance, this item is to finish all of your tankiness and damage off!

Skill Explanation
  • Warpath: Hecarim's passive, it's used to ignore unit collision, which is VERY useful in chases combined with Devastating Charge. It also grants 10/ 12.5 / 15 / 17.5 / 20 / 22.5 / 25% of his movement speed into Attack Damage.
  • Rampage: This skill is much like Skarner's Q, you can constantly hit it to do much DPS at once. And, the more you use it, the less cooldown it has (stacks up to 2 times.) It does 50 / 85 / 120 / 155 / 190 damage.
  • Spirit of Dread: This skill is an AoE that also heals you! The AoE does 20 / 31.25 / 42.5 / 53.75 / 65, every second, for 4 seconds. Hecarim gains health equal to 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 % of any damage those enemies suffer. Healing from damage dealt to minions is capped to 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 / 180 health.
  • Devastating Charge: Hecarim gains a total of 75% movement speed for 3 seconds. If he attacks somebody while this is active, Hecarim will knock the target back, which deals 40 / 75 / 110 / 145 / 180 damage, and a maximum of 80 / 150 / 220 / 290 / 360 depending on the duration of the buff used.
  • Onslaught of Shadows: Hecarim summons spectral riders and charges forward, dealing 100 / 200 / 300 (+80% of ability power) magic damage in a line. Hecarim creates a shockwave when he finishes his charge, dealing 50 / 125 / 200 (+40% of ability power) additional magic damage to nearby enemies and causing them to flee in terror away from Hecarim for 1 second.

Akali-Akali can easily be beaten by a good Hecarim. The thing about Hecarim. is that, he can kill anybody that gets close. If Akali pops her Twilight Shroud, you can simply run into her shroud and Q+W.

Fiora-At lower levels, Fiora's Lunge can harass Hecarim very bad early game. She also has as much survivability with her passive Duelist. Also with her Riposte, she can reflect your power auto attacks. She can also win exchanges with Burst of Speed, or Blade Waltz. Although, if she's bad, you can win. That's all.

Jarvan IV-This guy can be kinda difficult later on. He wont do much untill he levels his q/e a lot with his Dragon Strike+ Demacian Standard combo. He can also Cataclysm you for a good amount of damage, although, you can beat him early game and late game if you build armor/lifesteal. You can also ult out of his ult if you really need to.

Lee Sin Lee Sin will absolutely DESTROY YOU! He can get in and out with his Sonic Wave and Safegaurd He can also get lifesteal with Iron Will. He also has a slow with Cripple, and slows are the direct counter to Hecarim. Avoid getting even CLOSE to Lee Sin, and have your jungler baby sit top. If you can get a lot of kills off him, you might just win.

I'll be adding more content to Runes, Masteries, Items, and I'll add a segment for Summoner Spells. I'll probably add an area about Farming as Hecarim, and, to finish it off, and a list of solo top ranks against Hecarim.

Sorry for it being so unfinished, but, before I finish this, I wanted to know what people think of it before I finish it.
