Hello, fellow Summoners. Welcome to my guide on how to play Tahm Kench in the top lane.

Tahm is one of the strongest top laners and will carry you out of low elo if you play him right. His most powerful ability is Devour and can be used in multiple different scenarios. An example is if your ADC is getting caught out you can Devour them and grab a Thresh lantern (that is if you have a Thresh on your team) which will also carry the ADC with you. And Devour makes Tahm a great ganker if used correctly.

Can be killed by a gank easily in the early game

Thick Skin while in CC

Passive: An Acquired Taste
Tahm's most reliant ability is none other than his passive. You'll need to stack this baby up 3 times in order to use your Devour or to stun your enemy with Tongue Lash.
Tongue Lash
Tongue Lash is a skill shot that slows and adds a stack of An Acquired Taste on an enemy. Try to use this once you have gotten three stacks so you can stun the enemy. You can also use this as a poke ability if you aren't engaging or as a gap closer.
Devour
Tahm's most powerful ability, the reason for this is that it can shred any enemy because of its % health damage. Use this ability to help an ally escape or drag an enemy into your team (preferably a squishy). Remember that you can only use this on an enemy if they have three stacks of An Acquired Taste on them.
Thick Skin
Thick Skin can save your *** in almost any situation. Perhaps the enemy jungler is ganking you, oh well here's another health bar you have to go through while I run back to my turret. Make sure you don't use this ability too early as the enemy can break your 50hp shield and put your ability on cooldown.
Abyssal Voyage
If you successfully gank a lane or simply help a teammate with this ability you will be praised by your team. And trust me, it feels good when you do it right. Always check your minimap for a chance to use Devour. You can also use this ability to chase down an enemy.
