2 things:
1) boots of mobility - overkill + the 5 secs out of battle can be a killer, def go with boots of speed.
2) Fource of Nature may have the highest MR in the game, but def would take Bansheis Viel over it, in addition to the nice MR and Passive it provides you with mana and HP, not to mention HP regen is nerfed in dominion.

Well i guess you´re quite right ;) i have just tried it out and i bought manamune>shoes>sheen>zeal>bilgewater knife (no clue whats its name in english)>trinity>hextech gunblade>glacial shroud and then the game is over. now i can confirm and say your build is good, although i do not own MS runes. Blitz is still super agile and it was really fun although i prefer 5v5 ;) keep the good work up =)

Glad it's working out for you! I'm usually at the top of the score board with this build since it's pretty easy to do everything you gain score for in Dominion (killing people on points, capturing points etc).

I think it's Bilgewater Cutlass you are thinking of. :)

Do you find Manamune useful that early? I'm guessing that your mana is ramping up even faster but since your mana pool is quite small at that point, do you think it's worth it since the item isn't as useful as some of the others at that point? Curious.

As for the runes, you are not super dependent on them, the build doesn't break completely like some jungle builds do if the runes are off, it's just a slightly different experience.

Great feedback, keep it coming!

Thanks for the feedback, glad you like the idea!

Gonna try out some alternative item build orders this weekend. After experimenting with it since Dominion launched, I'm pretty sure that it is almost optimal for what I'm trying to achieve up to Zeal, but after that more testing needs to be made to determine if you should focus on damage, more speed or CDR at that point.

You have a very good point about the awesomeness of a fully built Hextech Gunblade. My problem is that Hextech Revolver which is usually the first part that you get is fairly worthless on Blitzcrank since most of his damage comes from autoattacking, and going for the full Gunblade that early is pretty expensive. At that point, either completing Manamune or Trinity Force is only about 1200 gold away since you have most of the components. I'll try it out and see what I end up with.

Lich-Bane is a good suggestion as well, I haven't had a chance to try it yet. My only problem is that AP seems to be much worse than AD in this build because of all the autoattacks from Overdrive, so I'll rather build more AD at that point. Again, I'll experiment and see what I come up with.

I like it! i also had the idea of playing blitzcrank in dominion but didnt actually test it... i can really imagine well that it works just imo its better to get hextech gunblade after Sheen and maybe even after Zeal for the MS, because blitzcrank deals awesome little damage without increases. Besides, the Spellvamp and Lifeleech make you have even less life problems. You can also build Sheen into Curse Of the Lich for extra MS (well its about same than what you get with trinity) and extra AP and a kickass-passive.
Well, i give you a +1 becuase the idea is kinda cool and you plan some improvements

Excellent guide! It really explotis all of Blitzcrank's capacities and abilities and make him incredibly solid at three roles: capturing, defending ant support-taking. +1! Keep up the good work sysp!

Improvements planned for this guide:
  • Initial strategies for the first captures after the gates open
  • More on capturing and defending points
  • What to look for when watching the minimap and how to prioritize your actions
  • Ideal routes between objectives
  • Champions to watch out for
