Triumphant Roar (PASSIVE)
Alistar Passive Ability
Introduction
This is my guide on how I play Alistar.
Pros:
- Tanky.
- Good Laner.
- High Annoyance.
- *** Saver.
Cons:
- Can be a lousy farmer
- Slow!
- Hard to learn (for some)
The reason behind using what Runes I did is pretty straight foward.
Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed - Movement speed, Alistar is slow.
Greater Mark of Magic Penetration - Magic Penentation, Alistars abilities are AP
Greater Seal of Scaling Mana Regeneration - Mana Regen, Alistar is very mana starved.
Greater Glyph of Cooldown Reduction - Cooldown Reduction, who doesn't love spamming abilites? :D

Main Spells:
Flash: This is useful for helping get enemies under the turrent or an escape.
Exhuast: This is useful for when your in a team fight or gank teammates are able to keep up with the more or also to make the enemy weaker and slower to save a teammate.
Possible Spells:
Ghost: This spell can be useful for catching or running away since Alistar is slow naturally. (Note) Alistar's passive Trample Trample also allows the ability to ignore minions in the path for 3 seconds.
Heal: Well, it can save your *** or teammates.
Clarity: Alistar is very mana hungry, less useful late game.
The No No Spells:
Cleanse: Thats what your ultimate is for.
Revive: trololol.

Trample (Passive Ability), effect is similar to sunfire cape. When an ability is activated it deals damage for a few seconds. Also allows you to pass through minions like Ghost Ghost does(no speed boots though)
Base Damage + 10% Of AP
Pulverize does damage to call people near your in game, Short ranged ability use carefully. This ability stuns the enemy if hit for 1.5 Seconds.
Headbutt is my favorite thing to use. It knocks the enemy back quite a ways.
Triumphant Roar, heals you full and nearby allies 50%
Unbreakable Will, is Alistars ultimate, it makes alistar become much much more tanky useful in team fights or if your falling low in 1vs1. It acts as a cleanse. Use it!
Combos on ability:
Flash + Pulverize + Headbutt I use this combo when the enemy is near a turrent, I flash behind them pulverize to stun the headbutt them into the turrent range.
Flash + Headbutt + Pulverize I use this combo more when I'm alone in a lane. I'll flash behind them knock them into a turrent when they try to run from the turrent I use Pulverize to stun them keeping them in the range of the turrent longer.
Pulverize and Headbutt both have useful things about them, you can use them for both starting a fight or knocking them away or slowing them in a pursuit against a wounded ally (Make sure if you use headbutt your throwing them away not towards, I've seen this happen way to many times)
Triumphant Roar Is the easiest and most useful way to activate your passive which is very useful for farming. Spam it.

Now these item's are completely situational, depending on the kind of team your playing against you may need to build the items in a different order.
Against a heavily agressive team - Build the tank items first
Against a heavily dps team - Switch out the Force of Nature for a Thornmail
If your noticing your dieing a lot due to slow movement gets the boots sooner.
Sunfire Aegis is important to Alistar, due to has passive ability.
