Alright so yeah Ryze doesn't have an amazing Ultimate. But you can make some big **** plays with it. Rather it be ULTing your entire team into an intense team fight, Flanking a lane, Escaping, Cheesing your team mates, etc its still a great ultimate. IF you actually read this I will make and help you not only realize his potential at carrying games. But for your team mates realize that you might just be a Modern Day FAKER. MOVING ON!

Ok so lets start off with what makes him great and what makes him not so great.


-PROS-
~Ryze can really burst down enemy champions
~Has great wave clear and team fighting
~Items just fit Ryze's kit very well
~His Passive scales his AP off of how much mana he has
~Great at out positioning and cutting off escapes(or creating them)
~He has crazy movement speed especially with the right build and masteries. Noone is getting away from you.
~His passive gives him a shield which negates a decent amount of damage



-CONS-
~A ****ed up ultimate can be the death of you
~Stuns, Roots, and CC in general prevent you from running away to KITE and getting your shield
~Is really mid game oriented
~Player has to know the right skill order to preform at the right time(See Chap:3)

VERY VERY VERY IMPORTANT!

Here are the combos to practice to make you a wave clearing, Team slaying MANIC!

Early level wave clear
E-E-Q.. It is important to note that you really don't want to go all out using this early(levels 1-5) due to it really takes a lot of mana to preform so WAIT until you buy TEAR OF THE GODDESS then go to town on this combo

Simple Trades
E-Q.. I know it sounds really silly. But you can really chunk down a champion after a couple of trades with this.

Trading early level
E-W-E-Q-AA.. This will insure a couple things. One being the combo E-W extends the duration of the stun and allows you to hit Q on the target. This will also proc his shield and movement speed and allow you to negate damage and also get back to safety.

Placement of your ULTIMATE
R.. Knowing where to place it and timing is very important. Too soon enemies can reposition and kill you, too late and they get away. This is more about the experience of using it and comes with time. Look to gank lanes after you hit level 6. The ultimate range is not great at rank 1 but can make all the difference. Cool tip though... So im sure you have seen it. You just respawned and your team is falling back after taking a *** kicking. Getting in place and timing your ULTIMATE for when your team will be on it to teleport them to safety is huge especially late game.

Communicate with pings and the chat box let them know "Hey Diamond 3 buddy I am going to gank your lane in 5 seconds lets kill this ****er" Can be the difference between a kill on you or on them. The game is all about team work. Teleporting in with your ultimate with the jungler is great too. Team fighting with ryze works a couple ways. You can try ulting into the back line and causing chaos and taking out the ADC or AP carry. Really its up to you to decide how you would like to use Ryze.

Ryze in ranked was a frequent ban for some time. Even now around Gold 2 and up he can be banned often. So if you are low ELO and looking to climb ryze is a great champion to do so. Iv personally had great play with him and loved 3 shotting the ADC and wiping the enemy team. Just have fun and be competitive.
