In the present day Runeterra few know of the Kingdom of Camavor, an island to the far west of the Freljord and Demacia nor of the foolish Prince whose lovestruck heart doomed his kingdom… “That man’s name was--and is--Viego”

Viego was the second son of the dynastic king of Camavor and through all his life all he knew of was luxury and pleasure since he did not have to worry about becoming the new king of his country since his older brother was the rightful heir, but unexpectedly his brother had died forcing the young prince to step up as the new ruler of Camavor. Viego did not know the first thing about being a ruler, he also had no interest in being king until he had met a peasant seamstress;Isolde who no pun intended had stitched his heart strings with hers. It is said that these two were inseparable, Viego was so taken by her beauty offered his hand in marriage to the girl thus the most powerful ruler in the world had married a peasant. Their romance was enchanting, Viego who had never shown any interest in anyone but himself devoted his life to Isolde always lavishing gifts upon his queen, and his attention could seldom be broken when she was present. Because of how little attention Viego gave to his kingdom some of his allies had started to get impatient and annoyed with the young King’s attitude, so they secretly plotted against him thinking of ending the young King’s rule before his rule begun. The kingdom’s enemies likewise plotted an assassination plot on the king and thus the stage for disaster had been set. One day while at a festival celebrating Viego’s ascension to the throne an assassin had charged at the distracted king but instead of finding his mark due to Viego’s guard protecting him the assassin had grazed Isolde with the poisonous dagger. The toxin worked quickly, and Isolde fell into a ruinous torpor, while Viego could only watch in horror as his wife’s condition grew ever more serious. Overwhelmed with fury and despair, he spent every last coin within his coffers trying to save her. But it was all for naught. Isolde perished in her bed, and Viego was consumed by madness. His search for an antidote became desperate, crazed he had sent his own niece Kalista to look for a cure and had told his niece that if she does not come back with an antidote or any information about one she will be executed. Unable to accept his wife’s death, every treasure of the kingdom and every scrap of wealth was sacrificed to his quest to return her to him. As the land fell into disarray, Viego hid himself away with Isolde’s body, becoming hateful and violent.

After many months sailing around the world Kalista had come back to Camavor with news of an Isle that could restore those who had fallen ill back to perfect condition but she was met with horror because unbeknownst to her Isolde had died not to long after Kalista was sent out by her grieving crazed uncle, now that the queen was dead she had no reason to tell her uncle about these Blessed Isle’s she had found keeping her promise of not telling of their secrets if she does not need to return to the isle’s. Believing that his niece is withholding answers from him without thinking Viego had thrown his own niece in prison and will keep her locked up until she tells him about what she had found. For many weeks Kalista had kept her mouth shut about the blessed Isles until a close ally of Kalista and general of the army;Hecarim convinced the naive woman that if she tells Viego what she has found the king will be able to find peace and go back to being his cheerful self. With that idea in her head Kalista had told Hecarim of all that she found thinking that Hecarim will tell her uncle this in order to help him but she was mistaken, Hecarim lusted for bloodshed and he wanted an excuse to cause more bloodshed and with this information he could achieve his goals. Telling Viego the news about the Isles and the sacred waters that could restore any ailments leaving out the part about how they must be alive in order to receive it’s healing power. With this information Viego had released his niece from prison and set an armada on course for the Blessed Isles with Isolde in his arms. Once they had reached the Isles Viego begged for the monks to bring his beloved Isolde back from the dead but he was met with unfortunate news that he did not wish to hear, he was finally given the real information about the sacred waters and that it can only work on the living, Angered by this Viego ordered his army to kill the monks and to find the waters, worried about the safety of the monks and her own uncle’s sanity Kalista had tried to talk the army out of it and when everything seemed to be going the right way she was stabbed in the back by Hecarim killing her, and with that the bloodshed had started. During the carnage Viego had met a monk with questionable motives in how he wishes to live his life named Thresh had shown him the way the sacred waters. Finally at his destination Viego had laid his beloved queen into the waters and before his eyes he saw Isolde’s form but different, she had a form of a confused wraith and through her confusion she had attacked Viego plunging his sword into his heart killing him. Once the sword had fallen from his body into the waters there was a peculiar reaction between the waters and the ancient magics that coated Viego’s blade causing an explosion of undeath that covered the entire Isles killing everything in its path as well as trapping it’s victims in a form of pure undeath many of the characters present in this story have become major players in the lore of these newly dubbed “Shadow Isles'' Kalista has become a spirit of vengeance punishing anyone who has backstabbed someone, Hecarim had become bonded with his steed becoming something of a spirit centaur, Thresh has become the new warden of poor lost souls that had their lives ended by the spectre trapped and tortured in his lantern, as for Viego he has been “dead” or was in a state of hibernation for thousands of years and now he has awoken but with no memory of his death nor his killer. Now on a mission to find his beloved Isolde again he orders the dreaded Black Mist that spills from the where his heart was to the rest of Runeterra stopping at nothing to find his queen no matter the atrocities he leaves in his wake because in his mind there is no world without Isolde.

Early game will always be his weakest point, early game duelling, and contesting will be semi difficult. Although if you're able to safely clear up until level 6, you will be incredibly strong.Depending on which build you're going, your power spikes are either Ironspike Whip Noonquiver.



Mid Game
Mid game is where he shines the brightest, with a phenomenal power spike. The main focus in mid-game is to utilize your ganking ability and your overall strength in duels to be able to get a lead for your team. In either focusing Rift Herald Dragon anything that will create a gold lead. If you decide to go Goredrinker do not be afraid for fights, your survivability will sky rocket thus allowing you to do MAX dps in teamfights.


Late Game
Late game, is one of the strongest in the games. With certain pros of, amazing wave clear, damage, self peel, objective taking. When it comes to late game you want to focus on using your Heartbreaker to do the maximum amount of DPS to the most people. Try on focusing and stealing the strongest enemies champion, for that will be crucial in winning a semi lost teamfight. By this time, Elder Dragon Baron Nashor should be crucial fighting points. A full build Viego can easily solo either of these buffs.
