Introduction
Hi, I'm Tri! I've been playing League for three years, and I specialize in supports and niche junglers, such as
Ivern or
Bard.
Ivern is a truly unique support, in both design and character, who is an absolute joy to play and a worthy addition to the lineup of either a Jungler looking to learn the more peaceful side of nature or a Support who wants to get up close and personal.
I also run Skin+ on YouTube, where I create voicepacks for various skins.

If you'd like to download the Item Set seen above and import it into your own client, click here. Simply go to the "Items" tab in your "Collections" window in the League client, and click "Import". Select "Evelynn- TricolorStar's Build.json", and voila!

The ways you can build
Ivern are almost infinite. He is very similar to
Bard in that respect, as both of their kits lend themselves to lots of potential when it comes to item builds or rune loadouts. However, this guide will be discussing the tried-and-true 'Support-Jungler'
Ivern, the way he was intended to be played. That being said, there will be hints and small sections in this guide highlighting other
Ivern strategies, such as classic in-lane Support
Ivern or even on-hit
Ivern.

Once, long ago,
Ivern was a cruel, cold war leader. After felling the God-Willow and becoming imbued with its powers, he learned of the beauty and wonder of nature, the various cycles and delicate balance holding it all together. He turned a new leaf, one could say. Now, he is the Greenfather, a giving, optimisitc, and extremely friendly presence to those who would accept his help. However, he is not above defending his home, and will quickly become thorny to those who take from nature and give nothing back.

PROS & CONS
PROS:
- Multiple Jungle Paths
- Offers a Huge Amount of Utility to his Team
- Unable to be Counter-Jungled
- Versatile and Dynamic Builds and Rune Loadouts
- He Poops Fruit
- Very Steep Learning Curve
- Unable to 1v1
- Low Overall Damage
- Some Abilities (
Brushmaker) Can Work Against Him
- Needs to be Watered Daily
"We are all connected in the strangest ways!"- IvernWhen you pickIvern, it's because you are more interested in helping your team grow than securing glory for yourself. Although he is a heavy-handed playmaker and can give your team huge benefits from his buff-sharing and CC potential,
Ivern is just here to give your teammates what they need to win the game./center]
ABILITY OVERVIEW
![](/images/spacer.png)
Friend of the Forest
![](/images/spacer.png)
![](/images/spacer.png)
- Growth Takes Time: Upon clicking a camp,
Ivern places a magical Grove around them. After a certain amount of time, which scales down with level,
Ivern may return to the camp to free them after the Grove has matures, granting him the same experience and gold it would have normally. Alternatively,
Ivern can opt to use
Smite on a Grove to free the camp instantly. Taking damage while channeling interrupts this passive and puts it on a short cooldown.
- Pacifist:
Ivern is unable to attack or damage jungle camps, nor will they attack him. However, he is still able to interact wit them via
Rootcaller.
- Beyond Saving:
Ivern's passive does not apply to Baron Nashor, Rift Herald, Elemental Drakes, or Elder Drake. They will still attack him, and he is unable to place a Grove around them.
- Sharing is Caring: After reaching Level 5, any buffs (such as Red Buff or Blue Buff) that
Ivern frees via his passive leave behind a copy of that buff that allies may pick up by walking near them. If an ally kills Red Buff or Blue Buff, a copy of that buff is left for
Ivern in turn.

This passive is what makes

Rootcaller
![](/images/spacer.png)
![](/images/spacer.png)
![](/images/spacer.png)
- Helping Hand: An ally (or
Daisy!) can click a rooted target to instantly be pulled into their attack range, granting them a dash towards to CC'd target. Be warned, some champions have abilities that modify their attack range, and thus their pull range from [[Rootcaller] can change as well.
- Zoop!: Be recasting this ability,
Ivern can pull himself to the target or follow them over walls. If
Rootcaller hits a jungle camp,
Ivern can still pull himself to them, allowing for easy mobility or escapes.

Brushmaker
![](/images/spacer.png)
![](/images/spacer.png)
![](/images/spacer.png)
- Natural Gift: If
Ivern enters any brush, natural or from
Brushmaker, he gains bonus damage and range on his basic attacks.
- Peekaboo:
Brushmaker grants a few seconds of Vision around the area of the bush that has been created.
- Natural Selection:
Brushmaker bushes function exactly like regular bushes, and will activate
Teemo's
Guerrilla Warfare or
Rengar's
Unseen Predator, whether or not they are on your team.
- Miracle Grow: If
Brushmaker is cast near existing bushes or walls, more bushes will sprout to connect them.
![](/images/spacer.png)
This ability is one of the more unique ones in League of Legends. Toss your mid laner a few bushes near their turret as you cross between the east and west jungle so they have a safe place to retreat if they need it.
You can also use the bushes to scout for enemies since the cast radius is quite large and it grants vision for a few moments around the sprouted bushes.
This ability is also very useful for sieging, as you can set up a thicket of bushes in front of an enemy turret, and if you're out of the radius of the turret, you'll deny them vision of your team as you siege them.
And finally, the bonus damage from Natural Gift is very useful and counts as an on-hit effect for items like Guinsoo's Rageblade and Frozen Mallet.
Triggerseed
![](/images/spacer.png)
![](/images/spacer.png)
- Bristles & Thorns: At the end of the abililty's duration,
Triggerseed explodes, dealing damage and slowing all enemies in an area. This explosion does not occur if the shield is 'popped', or depleted before the duration has expired. Any kills caused by the explosion are granted to the ally who received the shield.
![](/images/spacer.png)
A very straight-forward shield ability, with a twist! The explosion damage and slow is perfect for dealing bonus damage or slowing down fleeing enemies. Cast it on

- Daisy Stampede:
Daisy! can be tethered to an enemy using CTRL+R, and she will attempt to chase that enemy down as long as they are in range. She can also be tethered to
Ivern and will attack whoever he attacks.
- Huggable: If
Daisy! successfully lands 3 auto-attacks, the third will knock up her target and all enemies behind them for a distance. There is a short cooldown before she can knock them up again.
- Tag-In:
Daisy! is able to leap over walls and appear out of the fog of war during her casting animation. She will also prioritize enemy champions rooted by
Rootcaller.
