Since your Steel Tempest has such a low cooldown you can use it to last hit minions and to harass enemies that come too close, just remember that it is an AoE spell so it will rather quickly push your lane, but if you want to push the lane you can use the spin from Sweeping Blade and Steel Tempest combo, or by using the third Steel Tempest to hit the entire minion wave. If you have pushed the lane to the enemy turret, you might be able to deny his farming by casting your Wind Wall in between him and the minions so that the turret will hit them, but he can't.

If you want to trade or harass the opponent on lane remember to recharge your flow bar for the shield and to stack your Steel Tempest for a knock-up. When you engage you must use the minions on lane so you can dash through them towards and away from the enemy with Sweeping Blade. Remember here that you can't dash through the same target until the mark goes off so there should be atleast 1 minion to secure a somewhat safe disengage (to do it with a single minion you must Sweeping Blade to the enemy champion first and then dash through the minion. If the enemy has ranged abilities or auto-attacks you should use your Wind Wall to flush out some of the damage the enemy can throw at you.


When your teams jungler is coming to gank, first stack your Steel Tempest for the knock-up. If you need ensured CC then you must dash at the enemy first with Sweeping Blade remember that this will leave you close to the enemy so you will probably take a lot of damage. If you can't afford to take that much damage then you need to risk missing the tornado by shooting it from afar. If or when you land the tornado, immediately follow up with Last Breath because the chances are that there will be no more knock-ups during the gank, it will also keep the enemy locked-down so your jungler can close in.
Remember that with Yasuo you need to be decisive when playing against ranged opponents, because they can trigger your shield with auto-attacks before using hard hitting skills. So you need to engage and to disengage quickly so you won't take too much extra damage.

works pretty well on Yasuo since you are weak against CC but since Mercury's Treads should allow you to reduce the amount of CC on you, you don't really need a spell like Cleanse.

would allow you to replenish flow bar faster and it also beats Flash in cooldown and the amount of ground that you can cover with it, but I still suggest using Flash.

is good for top laners but also good on mid if you need to counter gank when the opposing mid laner is roaming, also can be used to splitpush.

is only for jungler and I don't think that Yasuo is very good at jungling but it might be somewhat viable, if you know how to use Yasuo in the jungle.
