Story Of the Shadow Dancer

There exists an ancient order originating in the Ionian Isles dedicated to the preservation of balance. Order, chaos, light, darkness -- all things must exist in perfect harmony for such is the way of the universe. This order is known as the Kinkou and it employs a triumvirate of shadow warriors to uphold its causes in the world. Akali is one of these shadow warriors, entrusted with the sacred duty of Pruning the Tree - eliminating those who threaten the equilibrium of Valoran.

A prodigal martial artist, Akali began training with her mother as soon as she could make a fist. Her mother's discipline was relentless and unforgiving, but predicated on the fundamental principle: ''We do that which must be done.'' When the Kinkou inducted her into the order at the age of fourteen, she could slice a dangling chain with a chop of her hand. There was no question - she would succeed her mother as the Fist of Shadow. She has had to do much in this role which others might find morally questionable, but to her it is in service of her mother's inviolable doctrine. She now works with her fellows Shen and Kennen to enforce the balance of Valoran. This hallowed pursuit has unsurprisingly led the triumvirate to the Fields of Justice.

''The Fist of Shadow strikes from the cover of death itself. Do not impede the balance.''

Akali Is Such A Great Duelest at almost any level after 6 (her Main and Highest Spiking Point) because of Shadow Dance. She can Almost 1v1 any champion in the game Past level 6 if known how to play correctly and utilizing your Twilight Shroud . Akali Can also become a hyper Carry Mid to end game if known how to play correctly and exceled in laning phase.
Akali Is made to Go into fights, Assasinate Squishy's and Other assasins and quickly Get into her Twilight Shroud. She is a very passive champion During laning phase but makes up for it in the late game. Enough about Akali, Lets get to myself, I decided to make this guide after going a few months into season 4. I have seen Many Akali's Go into games and feed or make very Subliminal mistakes, she is a rather very Underplayed Champion. I myself is one of the top 30 Akali's on my server and In the Top 50 Around the world. After this guide I Promise you that you will have a fairly if not a professional understanding of the Champion Akali.

Runes on Akali are very hard to tell and not that easy to pick, since Akali Benefits from almost everything but Critical chance and Attackspeed. I Choose This Rune Page because it is Made to Deliver the Extra damage Akali cant deliver During the Laning phase. Hybrid Pent for Passive (Which Benefits from both AD and AP scaling), Armor Yellows for Durability we missed out on from the Masteries since we did a most out damage and early game burst that Akali misses out on. AP glyph also for the same reason of how Akali is a very passive laner and need a lot of extra damage out put to keep up with all the "OP" champions Nowaday's, the Same Reason Also Goes for why I picked AP Quints, some people would say to put 1 AD Quint for the proc on both of her passives, but Akali generally starts out with decent AD and It builds up every level, also Akali's Main Item Hextech Gunblade Also Gives Reasonable AD, so the AP Quints are very much out of the Question.

Pros / Cons

•Stealth with Twilight Shroud can save your life
Shadow Dance is an amazing escape/juke tool
Crescent Slash is great to farm and deals extra burst
•She can do high damage in very little time
•She is Hyper Carry
Mark of the Assassin allows her to poke Enemies constantly and doesn't agro minions

Twilight Shroud can easily be countered with a Vision Ward
•More or less very Squishy
Akali is very energy thirsty
• Stuns, fears and silence's are her biggest setback
• Does a lot of burst but can easily take a lot of burst
Akali falls behind early game; Worst laner in the game

Ability Sequence

Upon obtaining 20 ability power, Akali's hits deal 8% bonus magic damage, increasing by 1% for every 6 ability power gained thereafter. (Magic damage doesn't affect towers, but it affects other structures.)
Upon obtaining 10 attack damage, Akali gains 8% Spell Vamp, increasing by an additional 1% for every 6 attack damage gained thereafter.

Akali's Mark of The Assassin Would be Akali's Q. First Mark of the Assassin does Magic Damage when thrown onto an Enemy, it then leaves behind a Mark for ~6 seconds,if you hit the Target a second time with a basic attack or with Cresent slash you will Consume the Mark and deals a burst of AP damage. Max this skill first. in lvl situations Akali is under estimated, this ability will cause massive burst With her Shadow Dance.

Akali throws down a cover of smoke that lasts for 8 seconds. While inside the area, Akali gains 10 / 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 armor and magic resist and becomes stealthed. Attacking or using abilities will briefly reveal her for 0.5 seconds.
Enemies inside the smoke have their movement speed reduced by 14 / 18 / 22 / 26 / 30 %.

Akali's Twilight Shroud helps her to escape, especialy if it is use with flash. and in teamfights it is very useful because you kill the Assasins and then use it for cover until your cooldowns come back up, than you jump out and kill another.Max this ability last because the Time that the shroud will be up wont increase just the magic and damage resist from it.The Ressistance from this ability can also be extremely useful, imagine you and your team have went into a teamfight to kill the enemy team you are successful, but you are successful and manage to get a pentakill, you are at 400 health and you go to the nearest bush to recall, A teemo shroom can easily kill you, but with Twilight Shroud you can easily cut the damage in half. Twilight Shroud can also be used to give back damage than an enemy has given you, or to zone them away from minions.

cresent slash]
Akali flourishes her kamas, hitting nearby units for 30 / 55 / 80 / 105 / 130 physical damage (+30% of ability power) + 60% Attack Damage and activating Mark of the Assassin's secondary damage.

•A beautiful tool for Securing CS
•You can Consume the mark from Mark of the Assassin with Cresent slash
•Also an amazing Damage utility that fits into your kit and combo for that extra burst damage
•This ability has a ~75% AD scaling, which make AD Akali viable (I don't recommend it)

Akali moves through the shadows to quickly deal 100 / 175 / 250 (+50% of ability power) magic damage to the target and appear next to it. Akali gains an Essence of Shadow once every 25 / 20 / 15 up to a total of 3,affected by cooldown reduction. The time to gain a charge doesn't count when at maximum charges. Additionally, Akali gains an Essence of Shadow for a kill or an assist.

Akali's Ulti can make very superior plays if used with flash or if used with a minion lunge
•With Lich Bane it does considerably huge amount of burst
Shadow Dance can be stacked to a maximum of 3 times and has a 1-2 sec cooldown between uses.

Ignite on Akali can be used to finish off Enemies when your out of Shadow Dance's (it happens sometimes) or it can be use at level 6 for the extra burst while getting you're first blood on Akali and for the extra AP.

Flash can be used during ganks when you're in youre Twilight Shroud you can also use it to catch up to people by Using the combo Flash > Shadow Dance, this summoner spell is almost a must have on every champion.

Laning Phase & Farming

Akali's laning phase is the worst if not the worst laning phase in [league of legends] Akali cant really do anything until level 6, and is very easy to feed with if you make the slightest mistake, such as over reaching your lane with her, making her sceciptable for a gank, she will survive the gank if played right with both Twilight Shroud & Flash but that would be a huge waste. All you want to do is lane is reach level 6 ASAP, that's when Akali becomes extremely strong, just focus on farming, you should be at atleast 80 farm by the 10 minute mark. Farming with Akali is necessarily very easy, even under turret with Mark of the Assassin and cresent slash. You can zone people off you're Twilight Shroud, also if theyre zoning you out of minions, you can just farm by putting your shroud ontop of the minions and last hitting that way.

Advanced Tactics and Tips

Akali's Mark of the Assassin can be double proc'd, since the Mark is 6 seconds and the Cooldown is about~3 seconds you can throw your Mark of the Assassin wait for the Cooldown to come off, Shadow Dance Consume mark throw another Mark of the Assassin and consume the mark again for Huge burst of damage.
•During laning phase, if the enemy champion jumps on you just Twilight Shroud so that he takes a bunch of free damage by aggroing the minions and you stay nice and safe :D
Akali can use her Twilight Shroud for vision, you can escape ganks by putting your Twilight Shroud over Wraiths and Shadow Danceing to them.
•Use the minions to your advantage and use them as your landscape that you can juke endlessly on

Game Phases

Start OF The Game
Very often you get bet to guard and push jungler, so you pull Blue Buff and run back into midlane. Cause of your Boots of Speed, you are faster or as fast as your enemy, so you can push your Mark of the Assassin onto him to harass him, cause more you can't do at this Moment.
•You can push your Twilight Shroud always onto the enemy's magic minions (the 3 last ones) so the enemy fears and runs away. That's a trick how you can farm easier in mid, but care, you used your Twilight Shroud so if you get ganked bad luck.

Mid Game
•Once you reached level 6, you should wait, till you have at least 2 Shadow Dance, cause you need your Shadow Dance more than once to grab the kill
•Just go on farming, and hope, that someone of your team ganks you in the next time.
•Once you get level you have about 1200 Gold, now try to harass your opponent hard.
•Next step is to try to kill your harassed opponent with your combo.
•If you killed him, or you missed the kill for a few health and he has to port himselve back, you can also go back and buy Hextech Revolver and some sight wards and Health Potions.
•Put at least one sight ward into one bush of the midlane and always stay of these side of the lane, cause there you see the opponent ganker before he reaches the bush!
•Harass your enemy with Mark of the Assassin --> Shadow Dance --> Crescent Slash to activate the Mark --> Twilight Shroud to get safe and then back to your minions and farm!
•Next time you can kill your enemy easily!

End Game
•In the Endgame you can beat each Carry easily solo, cause in your Twilight Shroud they can't do something to you! But watch out, if they have Oracle's Elixir or some Vision Wards.
•Try to farm lot's of minions, because a couple of waves of them equals one enemy kill

•In Team fights you are important for killing the carrys and mages.
•If a teamfight starts, wait a little bit, and then jump across the battlefield and push your Twilight Shroud onto your target (should be a weak carry, who focused one of your team except you!) and do all your skills in the right combo!
•These tactic is very useful, cause you get one, maybe 2 or 3 kills, and you win the teamfight cause you focused the right Champ!!
• Twilight Shroud helps you a lot in teamfights, cause normally they try to focus you (easy, weak, what ever), but now they can't see you, except they have Oracle's Elixir!
•Should someone of their team manage to escape, jump on him with Shadow Dance, slow him and do your combo, or let your team follows you!
