Small Fights

Whenever you engage, always remember that teamwork is key. As veigar, you can't 1 v 2. Unless you are so good that you can stack a Mejai's Soulstealer, you will usually die very fast.

However, Event Horizon makes a 2 v 1 easy for you. Always look to see if your stun can kill an enemy if used. Pounce ASAP with your stun and burst. Then let your partner clean up.

Turning a Pushed Lane into a Kill

If you have been pushed to the tower early game, this is GOOD. Here is why:
1). When mid is pushed, the jungler can gank easily
2). You are (relatively) safe
3). Your Event Horizon can get you a free kill

Here is how reason #3 works. When in mid, greedy Swain thinks he can get just a bit more harass on you. This is where Heal and Event Horizon work in unison to give you a kill. Your turret will be targeting minions while Swain creeps up to land an ability. Engage him as soon as he attacks first. Trap him with your Event Horizon, making sure that the outer rim is within the range of the turret. The turret should switch from minions to him at this point. Baiting him and using heal at the last second makes this combo devastating. Works once or twice, but all you need is a kill in the beginning and you are set.

Team Fights

• Spam your Baleful Strike
• Use Event Horizon when a few of them engage
• Use Dark Matter now, it should be easy to aim in team fights
• Use Primordial Burst on their AP carry early in the fight
