Thresh
Nami is very squishy in early levels and if you get hooked by a good Thresh you will probably die if you don't have flash up. If your carry gets hooked by thresh you can always try to use Q on him so he can't follow up with E.
Introduction
Nami is one of my favorite supports due to her having a lot of CC and also has a lot of offensive spells. Nami is my most played champion in ranked (even though I do not play much ranked). My KDA with Nami is 2.4/5.4/18.5.
My masteries are 9/7/14. You can also use 0/9/21 masteries if you like that better. I choose 9/7/14 because it gives me some extra ability power, so I can focus on buying defensive items first.
During laning phase you want to poke with W and Q. The great thing about Nami's W is that you can poke while healing your ADC/yourself. Just try to position so that you can do both. If you or your ADC manages to slow the enemies, it is easier to follow up with Q. ALWAYS remeber to ward river to avoid ganks. Use E on either yourself or on your ADC and basic attack the enemies to slow them. It can be tricky to know when to use E on your ADC since many just waste it on the minions. Be careful to not overextend as you will run out of mana if you use W/Q too much!
Synergy
ADC's that fit well with Nami in my opinion, is Jinx, Caitlyn, Graves, Sivir and Vayne.
Caitlyn: Since she has long range and pokes with autos, you can put your E on Caitlyn, which will slow the enemies with her autos.
Jinx: If you land your Q on an enemy, Jinx can put down her E and the enemy will have a hard time escaping.
Graves: His low range makes landing W on the enemies easier, and you will also heal him. If you cast W on the enemy ADC/supp, it will bounce back to Graves, healing him and probably bounce back to the other enemy.
Sivir: Your passive works great with her passive.
Vayne: Same as Sivir + that you can heal Vayne since she is very vunerable early game. If Vayne successfully lands her E on the enemy into the wall, follow up with your Q and hopefully get a kill.
It can be a good idea to use exhaust on champions such as Riven or Yasuo so that they don't deal as much damage in teamfights. You will be able to take them down much easier.
BLUE SIDE warding locations
RED SIDE warding locations
Pinks can be tricky to place down since they are very often found. I don't think it is worth placing down a pink in the river brush near botlane, because it's a very common warding area. I usually place pinks near buffs (easier to know if enemy jungler is taking your jungle buffs) or the bushes behind red buff on blue side, or the bushes by river near mid. Those places are rarely checked and your wards can survive longer.
