Runes are straight up simple. The reason I go with these runes are specifically to acquire the natural tankiness, yet to be able to build pure damage from all the smexellent AP items. Scaling Armor and MR stacks nicely with your W's passive ability and you become really tanky without even having to lift a finger. You could always swap some out with HP or something if the enemy tea lacks AD or AP.

Simple masteries. 21/6/3 for mad durmage, slight tankiness and basic attack deny, and the utility for the easy movement speed and chase. Definetly the best setup with masteries available for such a smexellent Garen as you.

My itemization is generally obvious for a non AP-scaling champion like Garen. It will GAREN-TEE you success in the Fields of Justice as the Lich Bane procs nicely with your Q, plus your DFG it will deal mad deeps and you can spank them with your ult for a dominating victory. As damage is important, getting a Rabadon's Deathcap is a brilliant item to pick up, along with a Zhonya's for pure damage and tankz and a Abyssal Scepter for the rapeage as you're a close quarter champion. This gives you the damage and tankiness that makes you able to towerdive with pentas in your back pocket.

For the best skill sequence possible, talk to your buddy jungler for a possible red buff. A red buff will give you the fighting dominance of 15 Mike Tysons on a Saturday Afternoon. When you have a red buff, you want to hit people with it alright? Then you use your E to slowly peel them off. They will be like "OH YEAH, I CAN FIGHT THIS IDIOT." Then you just DFG, Q and watch their health flop down as you ult. This is obviously with a Lich Bane and hopefully a Rabadon's.

I don't care who you are, or what you want. The spells are higher up. Just follow them.

If you are taking this to a serious level, do not complain to me about your reports. Nobody likes an AP Garen.

What are you, a scrub? AP Garen doesn't farm creeps/minions. He farms champions like a real burly man. Like Braum should.
