Playing Xerath

Xerath can be one of the hardest champions to play in the mid lane as he only has skillshots. After you get rolling and have morellos and rylais thats when the fun begins. His combo is W Q E or W E Q depending if you can hit your stun. The main idea here is to slow with W and hit them with Q. It makes it very easy to hit Q with the slow from W.

Early Game

Yeah ya gonna wanna play safe and farm. Xerath is very vulnerable to ganks as he has no escape. If you end up burning flash you're especially susceptible to ganks. Try to farm until level 6 and pick up that lost chapter and boots. Consider going toward bot lane or top and maybe get a good ult off.

Mid/Late Game

Group with your team and poke. Xerath excels at poke as has insane range. Use that range to poke the enemy team and weaken their fight potential. When you ult make sure to use it when you are far behind your team because you are very vulnerable.

Deathfire VS Thunderlords

Take deathfire. Does more damage in the late game and can be better for poke in the early game. You could take thunderlords of you are confident of landing all you skills and getting close enough for autos. But the main reason for playing Xerath is so you can hit someone from tower to tower.
