Introduction
Build Options
Riftmaker is by FAR the best mythic item on Gwen. I have played in PBE, and originally I was to believe Everfrost was the best for its utility. Riftmaker allows for Gwen to reach her true potential with overall DPS.
Nashor's Tooth as stated in my guide is the second item needed for Gwen to reach her true powerspike. The built in Attack Speed + Ability Power along with the passive Ability Power infused auto attacks, allow Gwen to shred almost anything!
Zhonya's Hourglass is simply just required on most Champions that have Ability Power. The 2 Second Status is crucial in life or death teamfights and waiting for cooldowns which are greatly needed. For example Gwen's Hallowed Mist
Banshee's Veil I don't need to speak much on this item, you should know whenever your in a teamfight and you see somebody with either a Bansshee's Veil or Edge of Knight you're not focusing them until somebody pops it. It thus allows great survivability in life or death teamfights.
Cosmic Drive is one of those items are very situational. If you're seeing yourself in costant predicaments where added movement speed would improve your survivability, then Cosmic Drive is necessary. I would build this around champions like Tryndamere or Riven
Lich Bane is a super strong AP item that works on champs that are similar to Gwen such as Diana BUT I think this is more of a late game item for Gwen Specifically because it gives her no extra Health which you need VS scary top lane champions. I tend to want a Demonic Embrace or Cosmic Drive more for Mid-Game!

Abilities
Thousand Cuts [Passive]
Gwen basic attacks, the center of Snip Snip!, and Needlework deal bonus magic damage equal to 1% (+0.8% per 100 ability power) of the target's maximum health.
Snip Snip [Q]
Gwen basic attacks on-hit grant a stack of Snippy for 6 seconds, stacking up to 4 times. Subsequent attacks refresh the duration on-hit.
ACTIVE: Gwen snips at least twice with her scissors in a cone in the target direction over the cast time, dealing 8 / 10.75 / 13.5 / 16.25 / 19 (+5% of ability power) magic damage per snip to all enemies within the area. The final snip deals 40 / 53.75 / 67.5 / 81.25 / 95 (+25% of ability power) increased damage.
Hallowed Mist [W]
Gwen summons the Hallowed Mist around her, lasting for 5 seconds or until she leaves the area. Hallowed Mist can be recast once after 0.5 seconds for the duration, and does so automatically if Gwen attempts to leave the area.
While inside the mist, Gwen gains 20 (+5% of ability power) bonus armor and bonus magic resistance and is untargetable to all enemies (except turrets) outside of the mist.
SKIP 'N SLASH[E]
Gwen dashes to the target location, and afterwards she gains 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 (+8% of ability power) bonus magic damage on-hit on her basic attacks, 40 / 50 / 60 / 70 / 80% bonus attack speed and 100 bonus attack range for 4 seconds.
Gwen's first basic attack within the duration refunds 50% of Skip 'n Slash's cooldown.
Skip 'n Slash resets Gwen basic attack timer.
Skip 'n Slash can be cast during any of Gwen abilities, and vice versa.
Needlework [R]
FIRST CAST: Gwen launches one needle after a 0.25 seconds cast time. Dealing 30 / 55 / 80 (+8% of ability power) (+1% (+0.8% per 100 ability power) of the target's maximum health) magic damage.
SECOND CAST: Gwen launches three needles after a 0.5 seconds cast time. Dealing 90 / 165 / 240 (+24% of ability power) (+3% (+2.4% per 100 ability power) of the target's maximum health) magic damage.
THIRD CAST: Gwen launches five needles after a 0.5 seconds cast time. 150 / 275 / 400 (+40% of ability power) (+5% (+4% per 100 ability power) of the target's maximum health) magic damage.
