Threats & Synergies
Riven can easily burst you down early game. Keep notice of this and try to not box with her when: 1). She uses her ult. 2). Try to dodge her q poke and try to counter poke her with your q. 3). Ask for often ganks and avoid getting killed early while in the gank. The simplest mistake against a Riven early game could make you fall behind her for almost the entire game unless she really messes up her lead.
Jax is simply a hard match up. His stun allows him to poke you out of lane if you're in Little Gnar form. Try to wait till his stun is gone then engage on him.
Watch for the dunks of death. Even though you may be big and bad he can still cave your head in with his dunking axe of death.
You'll have a better game with Teemo. Usually Teemo goes AP and as a Gnar you can easily punish him for this. If you want to get ahead and stay ahead of Teemo in the lane phase then you have to get one or two good ganks with no one dying by Teemo. Once Teemo dies once or twice and you get more farm and XP then their is not much of a chance for Teemo to cetch up other then getting a Penta kill.
Be aware of the Lissandra. She is AP so that means she will be able to get CS easy and if you play too passive with her then you're signing your own death certificate. I am not saying dive her at level 2 but you have to poke her out of lane as much as possible and not take the same amount of damage in return. Doing this allows easy ganks for the jungler and Lissandra turning from a threat to the easiest lane you will ever have with Gnar, but don't get cocky of course you're not immortal.
