As I said twitch isn't like normal carries. He does extremely well with attack speed and life steal. You will be sacrificing some of your defenses, but if it came down to where you actually needed them you're likely already dead. Run these runes and you will notice a big difference in your Twitch play.

His Q, oh his lovely Q you can use it to engage upon enemies like an assassin, you can use it to evade your enemies, you can even use it to get that quick attack speed and take towers ultra fast! It basically allows you to go invisible for a short period of time while gaining movement speed and attack speed, use wisely, this is his only getaway.
The W, the almighty w! You're gonna level this up later because it's not as important as the others, I'm not saying it ISN'T important, it's just not as useful. Twitch will throw some poison marking his passive on the enemy and slowing them. Useful for catching enemies or getting away.
HAIL THE E, the E is your weapon of choice. It's simple, get as many stacks as you can then pop it! The more stacks the more damage it does, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. You can not forget to use this.
Almighty R - His ult makes his basic attacks gain range and goes through targets (for reduced damage). You simply stand in the back and POP there goes a Penta! Helpful if the enemy is getting away too! It even goes through towers! It's awesome! Just please don't farm with it.
Pros / Cons
Pro - You will be crit'ing them to hell
Pro - Your attack speed is awesome, especially when you Q
Pro - YOU ARE A PUSHING MACHINE
Pro - Want a penta? Just stand behind your team and ult, then time your E
Con - Squishy
Con - Thornmail, you WILL be doing more damage to yourself than you think
Con - You kinda smell bad
