Introduction
These runes are used to provide resistances to give you tankiness in and out of lane while also giving the extra damage from the quints for trading while in lane. The hybrid pen marks are used because as your leveling your E and building AD you are dealing a large amount of both magic and physical damage so being able to penetrate through both of their resistances is very helpful.
Even though spell and blade weaving work with your E damage I have found that by being tankier and have the cc reduction from the 21 points in defense is more helpful and scales you better throughout the game. Other than this your masteries are pretty basic, getting you flat AD and bonus minion damage from the offense tree.
These items are used to provide high survivability, good split push and excellent trading. The build order is almost always BORK, Merc Treads, Mallet, Randuin's, Runaan's, Spirit Visage but can be changed depending on needs. BORK and frozen mallet provide you a good amount of AD while also giving you excellent sustain, good attack speed, good kiting potential and some bonus HP. Merc Treads are almost always bought because of the tenacity bonus which makes you a lot tankier. At level 6 you should always swap out your trinket for a sweeper lens and then later upgrade it to an oracle's because you can always just use shrooms as wards. After this, Randuin's is usually bought to provide tankiness and the slow for increased kite which is then followed by Runaan's for more split pushing, trading and team fight potential. Finally, the build is usually completed with a Spirit Visage which provides more tanky stats and also increasing your lifesteal. You can also substitute this with a GA but this will make you not as tanky.
