My First 'True' Main.

I have never written a guide before for a champion, but as i see a lot of varied play styles (which I have also tried myself) on Urgot, I thought i should add my thoughts into the mix.
I have used all top lane champions (and some not top lane champs in the top lane) and by faaar...
Urgot comes out as a champion I never get bored of and I am confidently tilt-proof over the course of the game (laning phase can sometimes be tricky but by late game, I have pulled myself back).
I have included 'Forced Comments' only so that I can get some feedback. Good or bad, I don't mind!

General Points.

Now these points are not specifically for Urgot but the amount of times i've seen these things happen is unbelievable.

- Ward!
Buy control wards on every return if you have the gold left over. Not only does it help you out but your jungler also knows where they can or can't go.

- Ping!
Ping for anything and everything. Set up your hotkeys so they're easy to use. If you have pinged for anything, ping it again after 20-30 seconds if things haven't changed. You won't be annoying your team, they'll be grateful.

- Don't Flame!
It is so easy to blame someone else for an outcome than yourself but own up to your mistakes. Summoners who you argue with are less likely to make an effort in helping you.

- Check the Map!
Similar to pings, yet so easy to overlook. Check your map ever 20-30 seconds. It doesn't need to be a detailed stare but even a glance to give you an idea of where people are will let you prepare for what's to come.

- Chill!
If you are getting tilted in a lane. Don't look for an opportunity to change things around. It will most likely backfire and you'll tilt more. Just be safe, request help and it will come naturally.

- Know Your Capabilites!
Knowing your abilities is all well and good but knowing how they match up against each opponent can be tricky. Test the waters. Each time they come back from base with new items, just attempt another auto-attack or 2 to see how the damage is different.

Urgot Points (My Personal Experience).

When making this guide, I couldn't help but keep thinking of information that I found relevant but there was no where for it. So here is my list of things I have found after my time with Urgot (and some tips too):

- You are always underestimated.
Use this to your advantage. Anytime I go into lane, I play safe. Of course this is good for obvious reasons but more so because I don't want the opponent thinking I'm more blood thirsty than i really am. Eventually, they will try and engage on you. At this point, you completely fight back. The least that will happen is you will now be in control of your lane, the most is getting first blood.

- Be very careful of minions.
I recommend playing Urgot in some normal games before trying him in ranked. It will take some getting used to as you try and navigate around the minion waves (due to his size and walking animation).

- Focus on farming.
So many games (even recently) I have been doing well in lane and thought my CS was about even with my opponent, only to see i was 20-30 CS down. He is a very slow farmer.

- Control the wave.
Adding to the previous point, always keep a keen eye on which legs have your passive ability ready. This can ruin your farm and cause a farming tilt as the blast radius is quite large.

- Be healthy when you ult in a teamfight.
I'll make this point short and sweet. There is nothing more soul destroying that seeing you drag in an enemy champion, them almost reaching you, you knowing the remaining enemies will be feared and you'll be granted Aftershock, only for you to die at the last second and not getting the kill at all.
