Hello everyone and welcome to my guide. I'll teach you how to build Varus and how to dominate your enemies whichever lane you choose. Range carries are really squishy and can be harassed by melee champs like Talon, Katarina, and other champs with dash attacks. But will you worry about that? Either yes and no will be the answer and it depends on you and how you carry Varus.

Varus is a merge of 3 champs with slight changes. I know you know who they are. Caitlyn's Piltover Peacemaker, Vayne's Silver Bolts, and Miss Fortune's Make it Rain. Yeah. That's the 3 champs where Varus originated (not literally given birth because that would be awkward =)

Master his Q and you'll dominate the game. Master all skills and it's a GG. Master your gameplay and still GG. =))

Greater Mark of Desolation x 6
-you need to have armor penetration during early game with your basic and skill attacks.

Greater Mark of Attack Damage x 3
Greater Seal of Defense x 9
-you need to pretend you don't have armor but the truth is, your building it till late game
Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist x 9
-you won't need flat MR early game so build it late
Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage x3
-okay along with your 3 Greater Mark of Attack Damage your attack will boost up to 10

First, buy a Doran's Blade, it will again give you another +10 AD so that makes 20 AD at the start. Then go either lane, but I suggest you go Mid Lane and dominate it. Just watch out for ganks.

Next item is Boots but you can directly go to Berserker's Greaves if you can buy it already. Buy at least 5 Health Potion often to avoid going back to your base when harassed by a skilled mid laner (if there are, well you should be more skilled than him/her.)

Next buy a B. F. Sword. You should have destroyed the mid enemy turret by now if not, just continue harassing while farming for gold. Then go for Black Cleaver. Then buy Zeal for increased stat boost then another B. F. Sword.Then go for Phantom Dancer. The Attack speed and Critical will help you throughout the game. Now farm farm and farm and kill and kill then upgrade you B. F. Sword to Infinity Edge. This will now make you a formidable opponent but don't get over confident, you don't know what will happen. Then buy a Vampiric Scepter then go for The Blood Thirster then another Phantom Dancer. Well you should be able to carry your team by having this item but still *Don't get too over confident as the tide of battle may change if either f your team mates commit a mistake so be witty and carry the game*

Prioritize you Q as it will be your main skill for spamming enemy champs afar. Next max your E as it will help you kill enemy champs when their slowed or your team during clashes. Next Of course your Ultimate then max your W last as it is based on AP. yeah it may have some Health damage but still AP based.

I know you have experience playing Caitlyn before this champ. Mastering Caitlyn's Q is like mastering Varus' Q. As for his third skill, it's just like Miss Fortunes' so this should be easy for you. As of his Ultimate try to cast it if your Tank already dived in. But it's still your call whether you like it or not but you have to as it will chain through your enemies damaging and immobilizes them for a few seconds.

Clarity
This SS will help you harass your opponent but still you have to conserve your mana but along with your mana regen masteries. This shouldn't be a problem.


This will greatly help you escape because of the speed boost when running but if you like more. Then go for flash.

Here I used a different mastery setup because of my excitement to use Varus. This is a warning always check if you have the right mastery setup before locking up. The good thing about this game is, I still played like nothing happened about my masteries. I just ignored it :/ lol
