This is my first guide on MOBAfire so I hope you guys will like it.This is MY way of playing Vlad.I think he is a great mid/solo laner and totally worth the IP.The constructive criticism is always welcome and I hope you will enjoy my guide.

For masteries I take a standard 9/0/21 caster build.

For the starting item I usualy go with a Regrowth Pendant and a Health Potion because I can farm in lane enough to go for a Hextech Revolver or even an early Needlessly Large Rod
Either way Vladimir MUST FARM A LOT.His most gold comes from his ability to farm creeps with his E and Q , but also his atack animation is good.
Anyway till mid game his Core Items must be achieved:[*] , Ionian Boots


If you are not doing too well in early game due to ganks or other factors , focus ALOT on farming cause your sustain ability once you get your WoA
increases insanely.
Anyway items I consider you MUST have in late-game are:


And if the enemy team has lots of casters you can go for an Abyssal Mask
If you're done building items , you should be powerful enough to initiate a fight without dyeing with almost anyone in the oposing team.

I go for maxing Transfusion first , because it's your main damage/sustain ability cause it deals damage and it heals you for a percent of the damage dealt.
I also put a point in the Sanguine Pool at level 2 so I can prevent an early gank or to make out alive if I'm beeing chased.
The Tides of Blood is a very good farming tool but also deals tons of damage in team fights.
I will max this second.

The Kill Skill Sequence:
When I go for a kill I make sure I have him like 50/75% hp
So it goes like this : Ghost - Q - E - R - W -Ignite - Q
This is the main rotation for a kill but it may variate due to enemy range or HP.

Pros
*Good Damage Dealer
*Can Solo a Lane
*High Survivability
*He really SHINES in teamfights
*Uses HP to cast spells
*Kewl Dance

Cons
*Takes a while to master
*MUST FARM A LOT
*Not a Burst Caster
*Damage per second spells goes through ur W

For summoner spells I always use:


Usable:
Flash
Exhaust
Not at all:
Clarity
Rally
Smite
Revive

* Transfusion is very good for last hitting creeps/champs
* Spirit Visage is a defensive item , if u are building offensively don't take it
*Don't try anything risky in Vlad's weak levels [Till lvl 9]
*"Harass is always good"-Phreak
Yea it is good but don't neglect your creeps farming
*CDR can make your Transfusion and Tides of Blood really spamable
