Introduction

Greeting Fellow Summoner, and welcome to my Season 7 Warwick Jungle Guide. In this article you will learn to quickly master the champion in the jungle and claim dominance over all the other scrubs in the game. Warwick is a tricky champion to play after his latest update in patch 7.2, and holds many surprises. Let's get started with what you need to know about the champion itself.

What you need to know about the new Warwick

Warwick's new update made him into a more difficult champion to play now, and many changes to him. For example: his ult is now a skill shot in which you must aim and is not an auto lock like it was in the past. However, there are many pros to the new update that is brought upon this champion. To jungle with Warwick you want to build either off-tank or hyper life-steal, as he is squishier than before and more vulnerable in early game. Go with the recommended builds above or put your own twist on it; but I highly recommend buying Spirit Visage and Titanic Hydra as your first rushes as mentioned before. HIs new passive allows some AP scaling but do NOT build magic damage with the new Warwick; it is much wiser to build AD if you want to deal damage against champions. Some builds recommended the old Warwick as an AP build as his passive, Q and ult scaled with AP but is completely different now.

Runes

SOOOOOOOO it is preseason 8 now and the new runes are amazing (actually they're pretty **** for some champs and fairly broken for others). With Warwick however - they are terrifying. You have no excuse but to win with these new runes - so have fun :)

Main Path: Precision

As you know I love to play AD Warwick mixed with a little tank, but these runes are purely for damage only. I would take EITHER Press the Attack OR Lethal Tempo - however, because of Warwick's W passive I see no reason to take Lethal Tempo (although you can never have enough attack speed), which is why I take Press the Attack instead for the boost of damage. Next I would take Triumph, since as a jungler you will not have much opportunities to farm as well as your laners, so try to get as much gold as you can from taking down enemy champs. From the three Legends I would suggest EITHER Alacrity OR Bloodline - I chose bloodline, because again I would prefer damage over attack speed with Warwick but again, this is a personal choice and both can be extremely useful. Finally, the last pathway I would recommend taking is Last Stand. Because you will be hunting down enemies that have less health than you and lower maximum health, I see Last Stand as the most useful as you can deal additional damage when you are lower on health in teamfights or trading fights against heavy damage dealers that can cleave your lifebar in half.

Secondary Path: Domination

All I can say is........... *takes deep breath in*
CHEAP SHOT CHEAP SHOT CHEAP SHOT CHEAP SHOT CHEAP SHOT CHEAP SHOT
Okay I'm done. Cheap Shot is absolutely terrifying and so overpowering with Warwick. Why? His E. Primal Howl. Once activated you can terrify nearby enemy champions and have them flee. Although it is only for a short duration, this is so fun to use and can deal a lot of damage to champions. His final pathway should be Ravenous Hunter, as it will be extremely useful for healing during fights and recovering.

Abilities and Skill Sequence

(IMPORTANT NOTICE: Since the Warwick update is fairly new, the abilities listed in the guide may not be fully accurate so to help I've put in the information of all the skills, but not the stats)

PASSIVE: Eternal Hunger
Warwick's passive allows his basic attacks to deal bonus magic damage (10-44 depending on level) on hit. When your health drops below 50% of your maximum health, the amount of damage you deal in your basic attacks will also be the health you gain, and when it drops below 25% the amount of health you gain is tripled.

Q: Jaws of the Beast
On ACTIVE you dash to the target enemy and bite them, dealing magic damage and applying on-hit effects as well as healing yourself for a little bit. If this skill is held, you lock on with your teeth onto the target and swing around to your far side. For this duration you are unable to move and will move where ever your target does until you jump off.

W: Blood Hunt
Your W has a global range and on PASSIVE gains bonus attack speed against all enemies with their health below 50%. Additionally, when moving towards the enemy champion there is a path highlighted where you will gain the bonus movement speed when on the path. The bonus movement and attack speed are tripled when the enemy's health is below 20% of their maximum health. on ACTIVE you briefly sense all enemies and then Blood Hunts the nearest enemy champion within a large radius for 8 seconds, no matter what their health is at. Blood Hunt cannot be activated while in combat with a champion, and cools down twice as fast if Warwick is not Blood Hunting.

E: Primal Howl
On ACTIVE you reduce all incoming damage for 2.5 seconds, or until Primal Howl is reactivated. Once the damage reduction ends, you unleash a howl that causes all nearby enemies to be terrified and flee for 1 second. Landing Infinite Duress will automatically reactivate Primal Howl but the target(s) will not flee.

R: Infinite Duress
Warwick's updated ult is very similar with his old one but instead is a skill shot. On ACTIVE you leap in the targeted direction, suppressing the first enemy champion he collides with for 1.5 seconds. You channel over the duration, dealing magic damage to your target and applying on-hit effects 3 times, while also healing yourself for the damage dealt. You are unstoppable during the leap but however can be interrupted during your channel.

For your skill sequences you should max out your Q first as it is your primary skill to use when confronting enemies or fighting jungle monsters. Next you should max out your E as it aids you when engaging in team fights or just a little skirmish in the jungle or in lane. Your W is not as important in early game as the cooldown will always be extraordinarily long and is not worth being wasted on instead of upgrading your other abilities.

Creeping / Jungling

When starting always go t the red buff whether you are on Blue Team or Purple Team. You can ask your ADC and Supp or your Top laner for a leash but the buff can be handled on your own as well if it is critical for other members of your team to stay focused in lane starting from the start. After the red what go for either the Krugs or the Wolves. If you have a early heavy leash, and I mean a HEAVY-no-smite-leash on red then go for your blue buff after the Krugs or Wolves if you;re strong enough. If not, recall and continue cycling through your other jungle camps and don't forget about ganking your teammates (and as you know, ALWAYS last hit when creeping).

Strategy

Fighting:
When fighting with Warwick you want to make sure you are either facing someone below their 50% mark (as it gives you the bonus attack speed and life steal you need) or another squishy champion. I like to engage with my E as it gives damage reduction and once down it will slow them and make them flee. Immediately after hold your Q down and target the enemy, and afterwards if your E is up activate it once more and then your Q. ONLY ACTIVATE YOUR W IF YOU ARE CHASING AFTER SOMEONE.

Ganking:
When ganking your laners you have many options. The first is to use your ult to jump onto an enemy and suppress them. Only do this if the enemy you target is on low health or you have your teammates backing you up and not running away like little p*ssies. When you use your ult you must also activate your E, as that makes them literally buck naked holding a sign saying "please violate my anus". When an enemy is running away from your amazing gank, hold down your Q while you chase them and activate your W (if you must) as if they flash in case your Q will hold onto them and follow them wherever they go. Your second option is to just wait in a bush then butt rape them once they're near and yell "SURPRISE MOTHAF*CKAS"

Team Fights:
When participating in team fights you have the choice to either engage first (only if you have your off-tank build) or wait around until your team mates go in and then pick off enemies one by one. After the rework Warwick can also be considered as a weak assassin, next to being a primary fighter. If you decide to engage first, make sure you use your ult and immediately use your E following it as it scares off other enemies and you can focus on one to kill off. Use your E to your advantage when picking off scrubs in team fights or any other time.

Weaknesses

Although Warwick has multiple strengths to him he also has weaknesses just like other champions out there. He has HUGE late game potential and scaling, but before 6 he is extremely squishy and can be shut down fast, so be wary of other junglers that can pin you down and demolish you early game (such as Jax, Rengar, Olaf, etc.)
The suppress from Warwick's ultimate can be negated with debuff clearing items (such as quicksilver sash) - so avoid wasting your R on champs with items like that.
