He heals for alot and beats you in the early stages of the game, but once you hit six, and land a wall, he'll lose pretty easily.
Akali
Avoid her early trades. She can W out of your wall, so you will want to wait for her all in, AND THEN summon your mist walkers and wall to punish her heavily if not outright kill her.
Darius
The problem with this lane is the insane output of his damage and the ability to heal. Your wall prevents his from healing, and he can't kill your minions fast enough. BUT, if you give him just one kill in lane, he'll become a problem.
I personally ban Darius, he has huge snowball potential and it's not really easy to deal with him if he isn't a potato.
Fiora
Dodge.
This is an incredibly bad matchup.
Most I can say is try and hope she screws up her dash and to rush an Exec rather than a sheen.
Even if you get ahead, it's likely you won't scale with her in terms of dueling, unless she's an incredibly bad player.
Jax
Another really bad matchup, buuuut not as unwinnable as Fiora. If he's constantly jumping on you to trade, use that oppurtunity to wall him and have your minions start smacking him.
The big problem with him, however, is that his counterattack, coupled with his stacking attack speed, makes it really hard for any trading to happen, effectively making you pretty useless.
Again though, it's not unwinnable, but it's stupidly hard to do anything.
Tryndamere
Take ignite, maybe rush an Exec too for good measure. You want to wait for him to spin to you, but it likely won't matter if he runs Ghost and Flash. You can beat him early, but once Trynd starts getting items, it's unlikely you'll ever win a duel against him.
Sylas
No matter what you try, this broken champion will outscale you, and he's even worse when he takes Maiden.
He'll outdamage, outheal, and there's not a lot you can do even with the wall. Just sit under your turret and hope he just ooms himself early.
He's not a common pick for top lane, but if he is, play it VERY CAREFULLY.
Cho'Gath
He can't kill you, you can't kill him either. Farm lane basically. He'll heal off your ghouls, and his sustain is too fast for you to keep up with. He has no real way of closing the gap without burning flash, and he runs the risk of being killed for doing that.
Dr. Mundo
Rush an exec, and congrats, you win. You outscale, outpush and outdamage him heavily.
Garen
Respect his damage.
Garen excels at trading mostly because his passive allows him to stay in lane way longer. With that being said, avoid him the first few levels, but after 6, you win. Once he Q's, E, W and you'll likely win the trade if not just kill him.
Teemo
Food.
Take a Dorans shield anyways since Teemo just does Teemo things. Once you hit 3 and have 4 graves, combo him and watch him burn flash immediately. You can basically all in him at any point in the game and win.
Camille
Respect her damage.
She has a pretty nasty all in and can escape your wall. Her ultimate is dumb, so save your W for when she does it and just do your best to survive. You win though with your ultimate, and if you have 4 ghouls in the field. If she gets ahead, it'll be really hard for you to make a comeback, but you outscale her late game.
Gangplank
He'll be really f-ing annoying the first few levels, but he can never truly kill you unless you just stay in lane until he Q's you to death. Get a Dorans shield and Tabi and you basically win the lane.
Heimerdinger
His turrets don't outright kill your Ghouls, and he'll likely die by them if you land an E. Every Heim will push but it's incredibly important to bear in mind that 1. He'll be fast, 2. He can stun and kill you if you're not careful, and 3. Your jungler will almost always F it up and feed him.
Tell your jungler to not gank. Seriously. I call it "The Curse of the Donger". where your jungler suffers a seizure and they just fly in half health and die to this midget.
With that being said, Heim takes practice to beat, but once you nail it down, he's super easy.
Illaoi
Respect her damage and her ultimate.
Just run away when she ults. Pretty easy to do if you don't mess up your wall. She pretty much loses to you at every point after that when you have Maiden out.
The only reason why this is "even" is because her ability to 100-0 you if you DO decide to all in her when she has her ultimate up.
Irelia
She'll outright kill your minions and proc her passive. DO NOT PICK YORICK INTO IRELIA, YOU WILL NEVER WIN.
Nasus
You beat him at every stage and shockingly enough, outscale him. unless he somehow gets a 1000 Q stack, you should probably be worried, but the likelyhood of that happening is close to never. You don't rely on AAing, so wither is just a slow to you, your wall prevents him from going all in, your ability to shred his health with maiden is going to be insane, seriously, he has no chance against you, at any given point.
Mordekaiser
Stay away from him when he has passive out. You win with 4 ghouls.
The problem with this lane is his ability to take away your maiden.
I saw another guide that says to "wait" but to hell with that. You want to try and wittle him down as fast as possible before he ults you. Maiden will be there to greet you AFTER the ult ends. Not if you summon her into Mords world and then after.
Pro tip - Save your wall UNTIL he ults you. After that just kite and survive. Congrats - You basically win after that if your maiden is still out.
Gnar
He's really hard to kill due to his bounce, and his Mega form is just as hard to deal with.
You can win this lane if you bait out his bounce with just an E. You don't want to give him breathing room if you can help it.
You'll outscale him in dueling once you have some items and maiden out. Your W ensures that his mega form can't keep up.
Shen
Respect his early game.
He'll outdamage you heavily from the first few levels. Wait until Sheen and you start winning with 4 ghouls. I would suggest going all in first, but wait until he dashes before casting your wall.
Volibear
He does alot of damage without items or just building pure tank. Luckily, he doesn't scale too well into late game, and you'll likely shred him to pieces with Maiden out. Be warned, however, that you need to kite him when he "marks" you the first time, otherwise, his 2nd cast will take a huge portion of your health while healing him.
Trundle
I'd say the scaling is even. He can't really all in you, you can all in him however. The problem is that he heals quite a bit, nerfs your AD, steals your health and gains bonus armor and MR.
He's an incredibly dangerous laner in the right hands, but if you play this right, he won't be able to split push effectively.
Vladimir
He can't pool out of your wall.
Rush an Exec and you win.
Poppy
Poppy is shockingly difficult. She does a stupid amount of damage early, can keep doing insane damage with just base stats, and has the ability to dash out of your wall thanks to your mist walkers. Keep her at a distance until you have your core items and only then should you start dueling her.
Urgot
4 ghouls and you win. Avoid the early game harass if possible. After Maiden, he doesn't have much hope of winning and will likely hug the turret for the remainder of the lane phase.
Wukong
Not a common pick, but annoying nontheless.
His clone and him will do a stupid amount of damage with just his Q alone. He can clone and dash out of your wall, and he can usually avoid your all in and ghoul damage.
Once you have some items, he becomes rather tame, but his early game is hard to deal with if you're not prepared or unfamiliar.
Sion
Food.
Quinn
Take a Dorans and try to survive until you have a sheen. You'll have to predict where she'll land or wait until she smacks you with that dash of hers before you wall. After just that one ability, she'll likely lose to you with maiden/ghouls out.
I've been playing this game on and off for years. After I made D5 back in season 5, I had no more interest to play at a competitive level.
With that all being said and done, bear in mind with this guide: It's not fool proof and I may have a different playstyle that is not suited for you.
Lane Phase
Yorick has an incredibly bad early game and is easy to abuse if not outright killed if not played cautiously. You hit a minor spike at level 3 and if you have 4 graves ready to be summoned, you'll likely kill your opponent or have them burn flash. Avoid pushing your lane if you can help it.
Focus on getting your Sheen first, that's a top priority.
Once you hit 6, and assuming you have your Sheen by now, you should be focusing on killing your opponent. You can E, W and start wacking away and watch them either burn flash or helplessly die.
Alot of people will, however, hug their turret with maiden out and wait for the jungler. Once you push the lane, just keep yourself located in the middle, waiting to either escape if you need to, or just wait for the next wave. It's incredibly dangerous for you to be anywhere near the opponents turret without any items, so just sit back and let the minion waves do their thing.
IT'S OKAY TO JUST FARM! If your opponent is down say, 30 to 40 CS, he'll really start feeling the difference.
Mid Game
This is usually after you have a Trinity and boots. Your mid game power spike is HUGE, assuming you haven't fed or haven't had trouble last hitting.
Both teams are now looking to take Dragon, bottom is getting ganked non stop, your mid laner decided to afk in lane, and your jungler is being invaded for the 100th time.
All jokes aside, you'll likely be locked up at top lane attempting to take towers and just putting pressure. Be aware of what the enemy team is doing, and try and communicate with your team that you're better off not team fighting - for now - and that you're just pressuring lanes and waiting for the opponent to react.
You're a pretty big threat especially after 11, and you'll likely win against anyone if they are foolish enough to try and stop you by themselves. Ward their top side jungle so you can avoid being ganked yourself (You can't pressure anything being dead, DEHUR).
DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT HAVE YOUR TEAM HELP YOU PRESSURING! HAVE THEM TAKE ANOTHER OBJECTIVE! THAT'S THE WHOLE DAMN POINT OF SPLIT PUSHING!
Last piece of advice - Don't play like a wimp.
Late Game
So you have 5 or 6 items now and it's late game. Every tower is taken, one more dragon until a huge buff, and baron is being contested for ward control.
Unfortunately for you, your mid game power spike has now worn off. You'll start hitting like a noodle for the most part, BUT, you still will have two important abilities!
1. Your wall. The game changer. The woman pleaser. The almighty Chef Boyardee.
Seriously, use this to wall in just one champion, and watch the panic set. If you catch more than one, OH BOY, they'll be nuked. This ability can and will outright win teamfights.
2. Your ability to shred tanks and peel. This is something you still excel at. Your maiden will definitely still hit hard on most tanks and bruisers, and you'll be overtly annoying to them. You can slow down most champions by a significant amount and basically just have your ADC do what he does best: Right clicking everything.
You're going to always want to try teamfight from this point onwards. You don't have a power spike to 2v1 anymore. Simply stay with your team and try and catch someone with a wall.
