Spells:
Ghost
Flash
Ability Order
Shepherd of Souls (PASSIVE)
Yorick Passive Ability
Introduction
"Die first, then we'll talk." -Yorick, the Gravedigger
Do's-
Flash is useful for a quick getaway or to engage an enemy. Its instant cast makes its use all the more handy.
Ghost is used for the same purpose above. You'll find out that Yorick is a rather slow character and movement spells assist him greatly.
Maybe's-
I could see use in this spell but the fact remains that Yorick can hit like a truck anyway so the extra damage wont be of much use.
Again, i could see the use, but mana wont be an issue as soon as you build Manamune .
This ability personally doesn't fit my playstyle. But if you are an Exhaust fanatic, by all means grab it.
Never's-
Anything not mentioned above fits here. Heal for instance is a complete waste. Yorick has a heal already, so two is redundant. Don't even consider Rally , you'll find that it's just not worth having.

I use these runes for a simple fact: Yorick's minions feed directly off of his total Attack Damage and his total Health. In simpler terms, the more health and AD Yorick has, the more health and AD his minions have. And since Yorick's minions are a core part of his DPS, the bigger the better.

Passive This is the reason I have built Yorick as straight AD/Health. Because his minions are his bread and butter, you want them to stay alive as long as possible and do some damage while they are at it. Yorick's passive gives his minions AD and Health equal to a percentage of Yorick's total, so the more the merrier.
Q This ability is a bag of punishment with high AD. Combine with Sheen early game, it packs a serious punch. The minion passive ability from the minion it spawns lets Yorick give chase to whomever might be trying to flee from its mighty blow.
W This is Yorick's main harassment as well as a powerful AOE attack that makes groups wish they'd spaced out more. It is the best way to initiate combat, as it hits hard and slows the enemy considerably, giving you the opportunity to rush in and hit with your Q.
E Yorick's heal ability. Not only does it heal, but it continues to heal over time based on the damage its minion deals. A heal ability that doubles as DPS....what's not to love?
Ultimate Believe it or not, this is a useful but deceiving ability. True it brings you back to life, but only for a short amount of time, just enough to kill a low health enemy.
DO NOT BE FOOLED INTO THINKING IT IS AN ESCAPE ROUT!!!!!!!!
Omen of Death does not stop a kill from happening. Rather, your champion dies, then is reanimated for just a few seconds, not nearly enough to go back to base or spam a heal. However, its worth is in laughing as you kill your killer from beyond the grave, making your death mean nothing.
BE SURE YOUR TEAMMATES KNOW WHAT THE ABILITY DOES!!!!!!!!
I don't know how many times I've wasted an ult on a dying teammate because they stood there stunned that they were reborn. The ability only gives a short window of opportunity and if your teammate is in a shop window because they had no idea they were being given a chance at revenge, it can be infuriating.
FIGHT FOR YOUR LIFE!!!!!!!!
I shouldn't even have to say this but i will for the sake of knowledge. If you get your ult off, don't run. I said it above and I'm saying it again, your ultimate is not a chance at escape, it's a chance at hitting your opponent with everything you've got.
With all that said, this is a wonderful ability if you can utilize it correctly.

Marcury's Treads
With the exception of the last Bloodthirster, this is an ideal build for Yorick. It gives him a rather nasty beef in Attack Damage, with a bit of a Health boost intermingled. The last item in the build is chosen at your discretion, I just so happen to be a fan of the weapon and favor an offensive style that is enhanced by the weapon.

Start off with long sword
and put a point into Omen of Pestilence
. This is your main harassment. Farm and harass until you hit enough gold to buy a Manamune
. This will keep up your mana assuming you spam abilities as soon as they get off cooldown (WHICH YOU SHOULD NEVER DO!!!!!!!!).Dont engage in battle yet unless you know for certain that you have a kill. Yorick is a late game champion, and you'll get your kills soon enough. Immediately rush Sheen
. This is primarily for the passive effect. Yorick's Omen of War
feeds straight off of his attack damage, so when you hit Q to activate the ability, Sheen's passive is activated, thus buffing the hit (confusing, i know :D). If you're doing well, you should have enough to start building phage
which we will need for that all-important Trinity Force
. When you hit level 6, put your point into Omen of Death
and prepare for the fights to begin.
Now that you have your ultimate, you can start to slowly get kills. Again, don't try to force an opportunity, only go for it if the chance arises. Continue to farm so that you can get your Trinity Force
. Now is the time to look for places that you may need to defend or push. If need be, fill in for fallen teammates until they can respawn or gank an enemy if they stray too close. But remember that you should not be over aggressive until end game. Farm and save for your Warmog's
so you can have a bit of defense, using Omen of Famine
to heal or returning to base as necessary. Utilize your summoner abilities for quick getaways or use your ultimate on yourself to prevent an enemy from escaping a battle with low health AND a kill. Just play cautiously until level 15, where the fun begins.
At this time you should have most of your build completed, working for your Infinity Edge
or even your Bloodthirster
if you are doing exceptionally well. With your Edge under your belt, it's time to lay waste. Use Omen of Pestilence
to initiate in combat. While the ghoul is still alive and the slowing effect still active, rush in and smack with your Omen of War
and hit repeatedly with your crazy amount of Attack Damage, tearing through squishies like a hot knife through butter. If you get low on health, flash away and pop Omen of Famine
on a minion to heal and then rinse and repeat. If you do get into a situation with a 3v1 gank or what not, do not waste your Ult. The Chances are that whomever was kill-able has backed away to heal and you will be torn down again. However, if you're locked in a close battle, Ult away. Not only will the Revenant cause some hurt, but it gives you a chance to counter kill whomever might have slain you. Try not to get caught in the center of a team battle; that's a tank's job. Instead, rip through stragglers and aquishies like the fighter you are. Do this till game over and laugh at your amazing gameplay. Good job. You just successfully played Yorick the Gravedigger.
