Diana

Kind of a bad matchup for Zed. Her W shield can negate a lot of damage, so don't expect to out trade her unless it is on cooldown. After the rework you can dodge her R with your R or a shadow, so you can maybe win fights after level 6. She'll most likely have control of the lane unless you get a lead. Careful in teamfights to not get AOE'd by her ult, as you will most likely get forced out of the fight.

Yasuo

Fairly even matchup. If you ever get ahead, its a nightmare for Yasuo, especially if he chooses Berserker's greaves over Ninja Tabi. Eventually you won't even need to hit your Q's and just Death Mark + auto a few times and he'll die. Try to freeze so that he can't run you down the lane. Proc his passive before stepping up to farm with your Q. If Yasuo dashes in to trade with you, Q + AA + E should proc electrocute, and usually you'll win the trade provided he doesn't hit multiple Q's. Ask for ganks. If they tend to dash through you after you R, have your WEQ at the ready for a guaranteed double Q.

Talon

Not as bad of a matchup as some Zeds think. You can poke him for free every time he steps up to hit the wave, especially if he wastes Rake. You definitely will lose trades early since his base damages are absurd. As you get more items, the matchup becomes more and more in your favor.

Anivia

Quite a good matchup. Once you hit level 4 you can expect to outtrade her easily. She will most likely buy a tear, so you can look to kill her or at least get her passive after you get dirk. When she walks up to R the minion wave, you can harass her with your combo and maybe all in. If you miss, expect her to delete your wave, so ward to see her roams. Don't R right before she dies since your mark won't apply to the egg.

Orianna

Rough matchup before you hit level 4. Her autos do a lot of damage, and she her poke with QW can chunk you. Level 6 if she E's herself and Q's right after look for an all in, since she can't reattach her ball to herself. Check if they're running exhaust because a failed kill near her tower can often mean you die.

Syndra

Similar to Orianna matchup. If you dodge the stun you can all in and pick up her summs if not a kill. Don't get poked down, or you may be forced to back. Her damage with R + ignite can be deceptive.

Qiyana

Rough because you kind of have to sit back and let her do her thing in lane. Hard to hit since she has 2 dashes to avoid your Q's. If you engage with R she can hide in her invis, so try to open with WEQ when fighting her. Don't get behind and you should be able to fight her in the midgame.

LeBlanc

Fairly annoying matchup since you will have to outplay her. Early levels don't step up or you will eat a QW electrocute and lose half your HP. When going for your poke combo don't immediately throw your Q's since LBs like to W into you as soon as your W comes out. I like to wait for her Mimicked W then all in.

Xerath

You are definitely going to be pushed around in lane, unless you are Faker or they are trash. A good Xerath won't go into your combo range, so you'll just have to do your best to farm. The reason I don't think the matchup is too bad is because if they don't rush armor, or if you find them in the jungle after you have items, you can instantly pop them with W W R E AA Q and get the kill.

Malphite

You basically can't win this lane. You can hit the guy with WEQ electrocute and still get outtraded if he Q's you once. If you have LDR you can fight him though.

Sett

Don't go into melee range, since his Q will chunk you. You outscale him so just play safe. If he ever burns W you can maybe try to all in.

Aatrox

Don't die pre-6 and he pretty much struggles to do any damage to you. You have so much mobility with shadows to dodge his Qs. Death's Dance makes him harder to kill until you have LDR and 3-4 items.

Azir

Really annoying to lane against, since he can poke you with W AA Q AA. Just trade with your combo when he goes up to poke you after level 4. Be careful of his wall. You can use Stylish's strategy of W to the side, then R, then take the shadow to dodge his R.

Viktor

Don't worry too much about dodging his laser, since it's hard to avoid. WEQ and you should outtrade him. Level 6 take the all in provided he doesn't already have too much armor. If he W's on top of you after your R, just W out of hit behind him.

Vladimir

Easy for you early, hard to deal with later on. Level 4 you pretty much slap him. Don't get discouraged by his sustain if he has a lot of pots, just keep poking him down. You'll be able to kill him if you bait out his pool.

Akali

Counters Zed pretty hard with her W. If she plays over aggressive and burns her W you can try to all in, but she can avoid your Q's fairly easily. Just play safe and you should outscale her.

This matchup can feel pretty bad if they know what setup to use (Fleet Footwork, Armor rush). Weirdly enough, he can outtrade you if he has armor. You win in the midgame though, and you should try to wrap up the game. If you have MR you can even 1v1 him possibly late game.

Heimerdinger

Just farm under tower, since he's gonna push you under and there's nothing you can do. Level 6 you can all in if he burns grenade, or you can try to outplay him by putting your W on the side and then ulting. If your jungler is coming to gank and they're not 100% HP or have super hard CC ping them off.
