Hello, my name is Shikurai, this is my very first guide and I wanted to make it on Zed as I main him.

I am Silver V, which may seem misleading but I am very decent with Zed. I don't play very much ranked so I don't have a good W/L ratio to show you guys but believe me I can play him very well.

Pros

Zed is very fun to play
He is the perfect assassin if you want to burst people down
He is very strong to me throughout all of the game
Can make sick plays that make you look like a badass
Has a myriad of escapes
If fed can dominate the game

Cons

He is very hard to play
If you cant keep track of your shadows you it will be very hard to play Zed
If your ult, shadow, and flash are down you are almost screwed unless you can do enough damage.
In teamfights he can only target one person and if CC'd is dead
Has only one form of CC that isn't all that useful like a stun
If behind it is very hard to comeback

I most of the time go Ignite/Flash as those are the most basic spells for mid. Though if you have a very hard time staying alive I recommend that you go Heal/Flash.

You can also have teleport on him but I highly do not recommend that you go Teleport/Flash.

For Marks I go flat Armour Pen, because as Zed you want to be doing as much damage to the enemy as possible and Armour Pen helps ALOT

For Seals I choose three health per level because Zed is fairly squishy and they give him some extra tankiness. I also add on six flat armour runes to protect me from the ADC,JG, and TOP. If your facing a ap mid it is ok to have nine hp per level but you will have to build some armour.

For Glyphs I have CD reduction per level instead of MR runes, because late game Zed needs to be able to pump out damage at a constant rate and be able to run with his shadow and by level 18 with all your items you should have about 30% cd or more. You can have flat cd runes as they help you early game but I prefer cd per level because they help you out alot late game.

Zed is very unique as he is the only person who will deal more damage if the persons hp is at half and can burst people down with it in a flash.

He is also the only person who can spawn something and make it do the exact same thing as you which in a way doubles your damage output.

Zed along with LeBlanc are the only champions(i think) that can use a spell teleport and instantly jump back to it.
