Hey jhoi, I'm trying to throw together a mobafire gallery for all of us artists to post our work in one place (typically non requested pieces things like the Sona sig you made for personal practice/work).
One reason I've decided to try and get a gallery up and running is simply to help keep the forum cleaner but also allow people to find and view our (mobafire artists) collective works. I'm not much for making large pieces but I know you like (or at least do) dabble in banners and other things. Currently I'm considering how many different banners I could need. Possibly 4-5 with even more depending on how things go.
I've got a few ideas of how to expand the thread into more than just a gallery. It's up for discussion as to how we want to use the other ideas I've offered.
One idea is a "Featured Artist of the Month" section to allow the moba artists a chance to not only get publicity for their shop but also to help expose other artists/new members to different styles. Featured artists could have a short description of their style or whatever they wish. The Featured artist would also have some of their favorite works displayed in the section.
The second idea is a sort of "Tutorial Corner" where each week we post a user made tut exposing people to different techniques allowing them the ability to experiment more with different styles.
The entirety of this project is based on the possibility that people might enjoy some anonimity with their created works. Offering people a way to post openly or, through me post aynonomously their works for CnC or simply to just have their stuff displayed without possible bias.
IF you want to help I could use banners for each suggested idea as well as a header and footer. (4 pieces in total)
No specific designs really, but the header needs to have "MOBAVERSE Gallery" and both section headers need their own respective titles. "Featured Artist of the Month" and "Tutorial Corner". The footer doesn't require any text. But if you find something inspirational and want to put it in the footer I wouldn't stop you....
The possibility is that these other 2 ideas might splinter off into their own seperate threads, I would want them to stay together, but it's currently up for discussion.

Jeffy: I love most of those ideas, sounds like you really thought this through :) In particular I liked the tutorials idea, as I would love to see some of the techniques people use.
I would also love to have a go with the footers and headers, but here's an idea - what if everyone who "participates" also makes a header and footer, and you put them on randomise? That way everyone gets a little bit of their work displayed and it becomes even more of a gallery right from the get go?
I'd like to hear your thoughts on that, and I'll get to work on making a few banners ^^

Lazukin: I just hope he can see that the original was blurry to begin with. If he chooses a skin for me, I'll happily make him a new one ^^
