They are extremely similar, just the filters and layer options are different. All that can be done in Photoshop can be done in GIMP. If you are like Nameless, then you can get the hang of GIMP in a matter of days or weeks. I know Nameless has been using GIMP for over a year. She has experience in using GIMP, so I recommend checking out her blog and signature shop as she has I think like 4 tutorials on making exceptional signatures. If you purchased Photoshop, then you can go to [url=http://www.youtube.com]YouTube[/url] to find multiple signature tutorials.
