Since his passive gives him so much free magic resist and armour, would a giants belt be worth considering for the mid game? He would take one hell of a beating in comparison to other AD carries and would, most likely, be able to handle a bruiser diving ontop of him (assuming his support does anything at all to save him) or would the damage drop be way to evident making him a useless wall of meat?

Mundo goes where he pleases.

And pleases, where he goes.

Meh, ADCs need a good AD item and an AS item to really contribute to team fights. Getting a defensive item as your 4th item is okay though

If you get one, you do like, 0 damage. You have great AD scaling though and almost any other carry who goes some AD item, if you go giant's belt, will out-trade you at every point in the game.

Do you know how many hits from a "similar" ad-item will take to even out 400 health? Not only this but also how well a giants belt protects you from ganks.

pickaxe: 25 ad. that's around 20 hits it will take for that giants belt to be outshined by a pickaxe How does taking 20 hits more worsen your trading ability? The enemy HAS to back off so you'll prolly even get to hit him more than he hits you thus helping your lane even more.

it lowers graves huge kill potential.

for example, graves taric would not be able to 100 to 0 someone like they could buying dorans blades / bf sword

2 x Doran's Blades already gives a respectable amount of HP early game and damage is super important on ADCs so I'd say no :o

Honestly due to Graves' great passive and scaling well with AD, I could see it being a viable option.

Luckily this isn't "League of let's have the AD carries right-click each other." The game doesn't work like this. The whole point of a duo lane with an AD carry is to let them farm safely and get free damage off by letting their support and jungler act as an early frontline.

You could build four Doran's Blades and say "hey, I can outtrade the enemy AD carry," but all the other guy has to do is build IE or something and be massively more useful than you in team fights. Giant's Belt is great on ADCs after you have a few of your core damage items. Not before.
Thanks to Xiaowiriamu for the sig!

Usually finish BT PD and then grab a gbelt for mallet or warmogs before finishing LW.
