Wow, that has to be the most boring final I ever saw, M5 totally dominated all the time leaving Dignitas without a chance.

Congrats to M5. Slept through the whole finals after staying up to watch them, now it's 3am and I can't sleep.
CLG.eu had problems with their license to attend to the IEM Kiev because the former team Absolute Legends was the one who got the license. Absolute Legends was covered by mTw and they were the ones who owned the license. mTw decided to give the license to a different team and not CLG.eu.
I am pretty sure that CLG.eu would have been a great opponent for M5 tho.

CLG NA beats EU on streams often. At the very least they're tied between CLG NA/EU in terms of scrims. CLG WAS dominating M5 in game 2 of the semi finals? But then they stopped pushing and M5 regained footing, so they lost. Had they kept their momentum there would have been a 3rd game.
They're used to farming for ~25 minutes
not pushing+switching lanes
They're used to gaining late game advantages/ or at the least fighting in late game. The new strat was for early and mid game. So when they lost momentum they didn't know what to do. It's not that they can't keep momentum it's that they're not used to it.
