What do you think of MobaFire's Scouting System?

Maybe when you scout, a text box comes up where you type your response.
That response will then be sent to (probably Mowen) who will then forward it onto the guide.
Thoughts?
The admins can also just bot the message :p
Or that when you would have a C2S system, that there will be a "scout" tab next to the discussion tab of a guide, where all scout points are presented with explanations without actually showing who scouted it. So basically, instead of the usual avatar scouts have, that the mobafire logo will be presented instead, and the name will just be "scout #3945457" or something (or maybe not even a name at all), where only the author himself can reply to via the scout tab or a PM.
Just brainstorming :3

Or if it was anonymous, it could be something like this. The scout is anonymous if he wants to, but he has to leave some kind of comment about the scout vote. If the guide author disagrees with it, he can report it. "Scout"'s signature could say something like: "Don't think this comment is explained well or that it is lacking some explanations? Report it so admin/mod can take a look at it."
@Banbanpls
Maybe a PM button which sends the message to the scout who has given the point but all the guide author sees is a name "scout"? Then you could answer it and still be anonymous. If the guide author thinks that the scout is abusing the system somehow, he/she could report it and let Mowen, Waine or Psi have a look at it?

Yep, pretty much :3
I don't think that we should instantly refer to the admins and moderators if the author disagrees with the scout though, since that just gives them a lot of extra work. I think it would be better if it stayed around the scout group, so maybe if the author disagrees with a scout, then (s)he can request a second opinion via some kind of button, which automatically would make a thread on the scout forum about that guide. Then other scouts are free to look at it :P

Why aren't we working for Mobafire?

I like the idea of not being able to -scout unless there are already +scout's on the guide.
I agree 100%, -Scouting a guide with 0 or less Scout points is just pointless, and if the person is Scout or higher it's even mean (since we can see which guides have how many Scout points).
I think Scouting should not be anonymous. I think it is this way because people who give -Scout points are going to get hated on, or if I'd have a

I agree, this is also a problem. Since every Scout is different, they all judge different guides in different ways. It's not necessarily bad (everyone can have their own opinion) but it doesn't give guide writers any idea what they should focus on.
Also, if a Scout point is given, the writer of the guide should be notified, be it anonymous or not. Maybe the Scouter can choose? I dunno.

I think if you want to make it so a guide can't be -scouted without +scouts that's fine, but let me present a scenario to you:
let's say I write a guide for Ezreal and it's really bad.
I hit gold V and the guide is now featured.
you can't remove the featured status unless someone +scouts it. If you +scout it so other people can -scout it that's misleading and unfair as well. How do you suggest we deal with that?
notes:
would the -scouts go away if the +scouts were removed?
I feel there needs to be a discussion about how to protect scouts from being witch-hunted for giving -scouts before removing anonymity.
I'd feel better if you just restricted the amount of -scouts a guide could be given to 2 if it has no scout points, that'd prevent mass -scouting but still allow for some amount of quality control.

i haven't been here long enough nor have i had to experience the scouting system so i can't say much really with any true backing.
i don't see a problem with -scouts railing a guide into the ground IF the scout is not anonymous. the author needs to understand why they are getting a negative scout point so that they can properly examine their guide and make changes as needed or at least understand the decision of said scout. knowing who the scout is provides an avenue to speak to the scout directly which can greatly accelerate the process of reexamination of one's guide no?
if you are going to -scout, +scout, +vote, or -vote you should have a reason as to why so that the author can address your concerns and change as they feel appropriately. that is how guides improve. if the author and or reviewer are not mature enough to handle a mature discussion over the guide than they can GET OUT. lol
there aren't that many scouts/vets on mobafire. and these people with rep and guide writing experience are supposed to be mature enough and understanding of the mobafire system enough not to witch hunt, not to revenge scout, etc.
@jani
you don't work for mobafire cause you work for them already for free...why would they pay you when you do everything they want for free?
ever heard the adage 'why buy the cow when you get the milk for free'?

to expand my earlier post, i think that there should be c2v for scout points, but that does not mean that it has to show the name of the poster. (I am not saying that I want it to be anonymous, I don't really care if it is) Also I feel like the anonymity part should be decided by the scouts.
@nameless: we could make it so that you can -scout if a guide is featured as well(That would remove the featured status if the guide has no scout points, else -scouting would remove 1 scout point).
