I used to not use smartcast for other champs I played early on too, for instance most of Caitlyn's skills.

A spell I never smartcast? None. I spell I never normal cast? Almost none. Actually, I bound QWER to smartcasts and ZXCV to normal cast. Works wonder.

Elohell is like Irelia's stun: if your real level is equal or lower than the level you are in, you're STUNNED there forever. If your actual level is higher than the level you are in, you're just SLOWED in your way up.

Most enemy targeted abilities because I like to see the range on it and when I smartcast them I often use them on minions by mistake.
Skillshots which get blocked by the first target they hit, because I can never get used to different hit boxes when I'm trying to hit people past minions. Skillshots that go through all enemies are fine.
Certain team targeted abilities such as Taric's Imbue that still work on minions for some stupid reason.
And... I think that's it.
