I use almost full attack speed runes but thats because I build Vayne for mid/late game rather than early.
But thats probably bad, I've just been playing about with her recently

Pretty sure ArP would serve you much better in all phases of the game than AS.
I'm using ArP reds, armour yellows, MR blues, AD quints.

AD is good, but I get the feeling that Vayne just can't do enough during the time that AD quints are better than ArP. At lvl6 ArP will have surpassed AD and that's when Vayne is strong. She's pretty weak before that.

Well, I don't actually play Vayne, that's just my general AD carry runes. I mostly play Cait. :P
Plus I'm not the best at last hitting and AD quints help with that.

AD quints on cait are BRUTAL. 2 gud :)

Vayne is strong right from level 3 if you go tumble - SB - SB - condemn - SB - ult - SB.
But, I don't take AD anything on her. I take 10% attack speed between my runes and masteries, and the rest of my reds/quints are armor pen. That's basically 3-4 red attack speed runes in case you're wondering. (I use 3, so it's actually 9% AS. *Shrug* if you're OCD you can take 4 and hit 10 :P)
Flat armor yellows and flat MR blues are the way to go.
Evaluate the lane- if you can win it early, take the Doran's blade start, if you're up against like... a Caitlyn/Soraka type lane, take cloth armor 5 pot and work towards a wriggle's, and then when you have Wriggle's or at least are strong enough to fight, make your move.

@PsiGuard: Actually

I never said to get it early. Obviously you wouldn't be buying arpen if your enemies have less than 45 armor. That's just common sense.
Armor also scales with level, and usually 2-3 champions on the enemy team will take armor seals. I wouldn't worry about a little bit of redundant arpen.

Thanks to The_Nameless_Bard for the sig!
Yeap. I just don't really like TBC, but is IS what the pro's are buying first on Vayne as of now.
However rushing it is what you would want to do. The item is strongest on Vayne early.
I prefer one of two things-
Wriggle's, 1-2 D blades, PD or 1-2 D blades, BT, PD.
Just works for my style.

Corki and Irelia's passive typically do more damage on kits with similar power levels - It's just a gameplay/feel thing and that's mostly subjective and subject to discussion.

Silver bolts isn't really the main source of Vayne's damage - as has been reiterated multiple times. She deals mainly physical damage than true damage. That's not to say it's game breaking or overpowered - in fact, it's quite in lane damage wise.
However, it just feels bad to buy armor against her - even when it's optimal to do so - That's what's nutty - It feels bad to buy items to counter her damage, even if you *know* that they are optimally effective - just because of the mechanics involved.
Silver Bolts first is bad.
It's not stronger then using Q or E first, the true damage just makes it feel stronger. You and your opponents, fool yourselves into thinking it's really strong just because it bypasses armor.
Riot statement supported - Mathematically, it's totally ordinary. Your physical damage is stronger.

I agree with RosePhoenix's runes though. Some high ELO players use AS yellows and blues but I don't think they're better then these.
