i am not sure I have ever read a more generalized comment in my life. go to guides...sort by top rated....and I would say that greater than 70% are gold or higher elo....which is sufficiently high elo to be considered reputable. not to mention I have gotten more from guides written by silver players than I have from 'pro written' guides on numerous occasion as they cover more material and are a real guide versus an item build from the recommended item build given to you by the game itself.
also add to the fact that many of the more recently published guides by higher elo members have not had the time to reach the top...I would say when they do that the 70% I mentioned goes up to 80-90%.
95% of the top guides on mobafire are ****? wow..please provide examples of top tier guides from other sites like solomid that are kept up to date. also please verify your own elo as apparently you are the world expert on LoL and the guides that should be used to play the game and know far more than the top guides on this site including the ones by yoda who is challenger tier.
What I said was literally what every biased person thinks. It's in no way completely the actual reality, although I'd easily say that the over-coating in BBcode, colors and pointless imagery removes the professional and simple appeal to guides. Most of the top rated guides are okay I guess, with the exception of the Cho'Gath guide that says to build a RoA l0l and a few others I literally wonder how they can get there.
Being gold gives you no credibility; I fail to see how gold is considered high elo around here. High elo, or at least the elo where you can start having cred, is post-diamond5/4 AT THE VERY LEAST. Also, what you say about learning from a silver author guide and getting more out of it means literally nothing on the surface of that statement. It's the value of said information that matters. You can paragraph on for hours about the different uses of Alistar's headbutt but things that are actually concretely useful are what matters.
Most of Solomid's guides are kept up to date and are just fine. If they're not updated they're either guides for outdated heroes and are not popular anymore in a tournament/high elo setting so nobody should give a ****. Furthermore, top-rated guides on Solomid are better than top-rated guides on Mobafire; they're simply formated, quick and easy to use and not filled with information nobody cares about.
I'm in no way an expert; I'm just your run of the mill low-tier diamond player, but I can strongly relate to the cringeworthiness of other players in regard to this website's guides. Things I do really enjoy are the esports coverages and tournament guest authors.

Poor

OT;
Anyways, if these kind of threads bother some of you or you just simply don't care, the solution is simple; Don't comment on it so this doesn't bump on the top of the thread list and you don't have to see it.
High elo and scout system has improved the quality of guides, giving them more views than they would have normally gotten.

"A person giving you advice isn't perfect and has their own shortcomings but they may give you the piece that you're missing."
Most people that hate Mobafire have no idea what they are talking about. I mean literally, the people I know that hate Mobafire are people who never went to the site :P
Everyone else thinks Mobafire is 'k.
