Perhaps in situations where legitimate triggers might actually cause a problem for a person (this is not trigger warnings about racism in books I'm referring to here)? Sorry, but if someone wants to make a video totally unrelated to a sensitive, possibly triggering topic (rape is a good example of a possibly triggering topic that people are willing to make jokes about) and suddenly start making jokes/comments about said sensitive topic I don't see any reason someone can't ask them to put trigger warnings if they're gonna do that again. Plenty of people have legitimate issues with things. If someone is triggered by blood and a youtuber they watch randomly decides to pretend to cut themselves in an unrelated video and get blood everywhere as a joke (a channel on youtube that I'm subscribed to actually had this happen after they pretended to cut themselves in a DIY video), they have every right to ask for a trigger warning because it was completely unexpected and could cause them to panic. Or how about the large amount of videos discussing eating disorders? Many people who have eating disorders are triggered by weight numbers, it's reasonable to ask for a warning if weight numbers are going to be discussed. Yes, we're taking it too far, but there are cases where requests for trigger warnings are entirely legitimate.

I had completely different picture about this topic. I think those warnings are necessary, but for extreme content, for example: death, gore, porn, like on liveleak.

Your points are valid, just I don't think there is huge amount of people suffering from problems you mentioned and I can't see how can those be generalized, thing that starts panic attack to one person might not have same effect on other person. My point is, it's too subjective and I don't see how and why should all content have those warnings, it just doesn't seem possible, nor practical.

Trigger warning? Wouldn't that be disclaimer? It's a bit redundant, but if it makes any one have an easier time actively dealing with their issue I'd gladly do it, which is a little bit strange given that the issue here is coping with pain not sugarcoating it.

Harry making a sharp satirical commentary once again:
"Moral justification is a powerful disengagement mechanism. Destructive conduct is made personally and socially acceptable by portraying it in the service of moral ends." - Albert Bandura

"Ultimately, if people lose their willingness to recognize that there are times in our history when legality becomes distinct from morality, we aren't just ceding control of our rights to government, but our futures." - Edward Snowden

But let me say this on topic post regarding trigger warnings:

Personally, I think giving "trigger warnings" is absolute ********. I understand some people have been through some traumatic thing. I have been through a few traumatic experiences in my life. But does that give me the right to go into an environment where free speech and free discussion is had (i.e.: A forum, youtube, ect) and force them to put up these warnings? Sure, general sexual conduct and gore ratings should be added on videos (which they are), but that's taken care of with age restriction for the most part.

Trigger warnings are nothing more than a way for some pansy *** **********er to come on in, walk into a place for open discussion and attempt to dictate how the conversation should go based on their "likes and dislikes". And I find it to be utter ******** how a majority has to take it up the *** for a very small minority, whom most of the time are stretching the truth/pretending to be apart of the affected party of a particular subject. If rape makes you uneasy, stop reading the topic and move on. If gore makes a video too uneasy for you to watch for triggering a traumatic experience, stop watching it. Is that so ****ing hard for you to do? Do you REALLY want to have people label and brand everything out in specifics just for your special snowflake problem?

What it is is giving a platform for people to dictate discussion, and that's absolute ******** and cancer. I don't agree with it and no one else should. Trigger warnings are even more phony and ******** what with how widespread this SJW movement is becoming. People who believe in them often do so because they don't have the gull to face the truth about some issues or they feel they're entitled to having people have discussions that cater to their specifics needs. Well news flash: The world doesn't catering to your filters, it does as it pleases. That's what makes free speech and discussion so great. It's how topics get discussed. It's what makes people come to these kinds of places. So if you're looking for trigger warnings and discussion that caters to your needs, take it to tumblr or some namby pamby internet forum. Don't force that **** onto places like MOBAfail. MOBAfail, despite the name, doesn't deserve to house ******** rules like that and cater to some snobs needs. I say snob because you're a ****ing adult. You have the ability to not click on a forum topic. You have the power to stop reading a post that disgusts you. You have the ability to not go on a certain board. Why others have to bend over for you because you lack the mental capacity to do that is utter ******** and it should not be tolerated.

Yeah, I just did that.

Well... I don't wanna get in no debate or nothing but sometimes people say it's kinda hard to just 'not view things' and 'move on.'

I ain't getting involved in no shenanigans though............

Then that's a personal problem. They should rip the Ethernet cable out of the wall and go get some form of counseling then. Mind you, people who are seriously having horrid WW2 flashbacks of such events aren't mentally sound and should be treated more closely.

But let's also keep in mind: This is the internet. People lie, people say **** just for the attention and just so that they can curve things in their own ball court. Not to mention, these traumatized folks are grossly (for the most part) over numerated. They make up a very small part of the internet as a whole.
