I think what he means is:
bomb: first tick, 3 true damage dealt.
second tick, 2 true damage dealt.
third tick, 1 damage dealt.
fourth tick, bomb explodes.
Probably to make programming the bomb blowing up easier.

I doubt it does - unless DoT's apply the slow every tick. I'm not certain, but I thought that the slow was applied at the same time as the DoT and then wasn't reapplied every time damage was dealt.

a few answers.
1: as already stated its just a timer, letting enemies know when they should get the **** away from him because hes gonna explode.
2. rylais slow procs on dots, however it uses the 15% slow (as it would be op on swain, for example, if it used the 35% slow.)

Zilean's bombs tick 3, 2, and 1 true damage before the actual explosion. Been wondering if this counters for Rylai's passive cc.
Been curious about this, and never really thought about it.
