I'll keep using the Doran's. I'll just have to sacrifice the HP Pot and be a bit more passive during the early game, not much will change.

I feel that Riot is making the wrong updates.

Removing health potions will just make the game drag longer with less aggression.. really unwanted.

Not really. It's probably a good change. Doran's items were too good starting items before. Now there are other good choices.

Dorans items, mainly the dorans shield, is extremely overpowered. Armor, high amount of health, and the ability to stay in the lane forever if you can manage your health. I think taking out the HP pot was a great idea.

Regrowth Pendant with some health quints>current form of Doran's Shield

I wonder how they are going to "buff" the shield to compensate.

I don't have a real opinion on it. I'm a bit neutral to the whole Doran's situation. I like the fact that they're getting buffed, that way, there will be more stats in the beginning of the match, allowing you to 'hurt' more than normally with runes and such.

But then the price will be higher, and not grabbing a potion can make the player less aggressive, and will be 'turtling' more often, getting less kills early on. Another con is the fact that now they're getting buffed, more people will stack Doran items, and that will be very annoying, since it's currently the new trend in LoL I noticed.

I mainly use Ashe and Sona, and those two characters I grab a Doran items in the beginning, and I always grab a potion afterwards. But with the higher prices, I guess I'll either live without the potion, or just make up a new way to build them.

I just hope Riot will work on something differently, like actually putting in the AI vs Co-OP thing instead of nerfing regeneration (which I personally hate so much).
I don't forget where I place my things, they simply move on their own, making me think I forgot where they are.

They're nerfing HP-reg and mana-reg runes, but boosting mana-reg. Probably to make the laning phase more active for everyone.

Force of Nature > rusty old Doran's Shield from early game... =D (Tanky DPS of course...)
Idk bout you, but when I have a Doran's item I usually have it til around mid-late game and only consider it worthwhile if I know I'll be farming to compensate.

It really boils down to your play style though.
