I know EvilDice (very good kennen player) uses energy/5/lvl seals. Spellvamp quints are quite nice as well.
Besides that, do what searz said :P

I actually have no idea why anyone would use energy runes O_o
Kennen has zero energy issues, despite the fact he has no quick regeneration like
Flurry or
Shadow Dash.

This. The runes that are at the opening post should work like a charm :)

I'll try to merge your suggestions:
Marks: Flat Magic Penetration
Seals: Flat Armor or HP/level
Glyphs: Magic Resistance (flat?)
Marks: Ability Power (flat?)
Right?
Most of you do not recommend energy/5 or energy/5/level Seals, but what about Spell Vamp Quints?

Spell Vamp quints OP. :D
No really,
Doran's Shield +

Greater Quintessence of Spell Vamp makes it impossible to force you out of lane.

"Blizzard spoke thus; Thou shalt not BM. And the players replied Nay, I shall Play my hand with Lethal already on the board. And so Blizzard sent unto them this Brawl of Yogg, As a lesson for their sins of Pride and Greed, for he is the Prophet of Madness and RNG. On that day, the tavern descended into an era of chaos and darkness, until the weekend passed and everyone forgot all about it. Amen. Book of SMOrc, Verse 20, Chapter 4." - Feam T
Please. Don't. Take. Doran's. Shield.
Especially not in mid.
Depending on the level of your spells, Kennen usually has barely enough energy to get a QWER combo IF he gets the refund from E. Sometimes that initial combo is enough, but it is possible to run low on energy if you start using spells after your initial 4.
And don't give me the "learn to manage your energy" speech. The same argument can be made for casters who build any mp5. More regen means more opportunities to do damage.
Now I've never tried the runes so I can't say from experience how helpful they are. Evildice seems to think they're worth the slot. If you haven't tried them, don't be too quick to shoot them down.

The guides I found in the site suggest very different builds, can you help me?
At the moment I'm using:
- Flat Magic Penetration Marks
- PerLevel Health Seals
- PerLevel Magic Resistance Glyphs
- Flat Ability Power Quints
I've seen guides that suggest Spell Vamp Quints, others with Energy/5sec Seals...
