Aside from Exhaust and her quintessences, yes. Flat AP quints are the way to go on her.
Ghost or Ignite is a better choice than Exhaust.

Vladimir is still one of the best laners in the game. He RIVALS Mordekaiser and Gragas in staying power.
He's not bad, and if you think so, you've clearly not been playing against any good ones.

Gragas is a top laner with Happy Hour and Drunken Rage. Explosive Cask also has amazing team fight initiation potential; but that also gives him a high skill-cap.


He's an excellent champion. Not a top instant-pick/ban, but amazing nonetheless.

Unless he got nerfed recently without me knowing.

He's actually on the weaker side.
He's pretty weak, but his ultimate is what keeps him kinda viable.

You're right, the people at 1600~ ELO EUW tend to not pick Vladimir because he's bad.

Any poker out lanes Vladimir. Anyone with strong burst out lanes Vladimir. Vladimir has such poor trading that he is always at a health disadvantage. In order for Vladimir to trade he needs to burn health, and if you make him lose his 4 stacks of tide while doing any form of damage to him, he's lost his lane already.

Umm after reading page one...I wonder where Orianna loses her support potential...She's all AP which means building her to be a nuke makes her shield stronger too...Get some CDR (not boots imo) and you're golden. So she's an AP carry with some support caracteristics.

you don't need RoA for ori, mana isn't too useful since you should always get blue, get spell vamp and you don't need the HP, etc.

how to build Ori and most other AP casters extremely efficiently:

1. doran's ring
2. doran's ring
3. doran's ring
4. optional 4th doran's ring
5. boots of speed
6. revolver
7. sorcs
8. deathcap

then w/e, that is a good AP carry core; for Ori, get lich bane next, then most likely WotA, then 2 items depending on the enemy; need more CC and HP? Rylai. A lot of poke? QSS/BV.

etc

but yea, deathcap, wota, lich, sorcs, core on her (not in that order but yea)


reason for all of the doran's is the extreme advantage in lane early game, plus you need the mana regen early on to poke hard, ESPECIALLY on ori coz of her cds, and you want to generally let your jungle take the first few blues.

and the AP and HP helps a ****ton too, with my AP quints and blues, and 4 rings, I have upwards of 80 AP.

Orianna is played and built as an AP carry, but late game, she should actually be played differently than most ap carries. She sacrifices huge dps late game for her amazing utility, and becomes more of a support/ap hybrid late, just like AP zil. However, definitely build her as if she is ap.

I think she falls off late game too in terms of damage. Still high but no where near some of the other more typical nukes. But that's my opinion I know some out there would disagree with me.
