Rushing triforce and follow that with an attack speed item seems like the best way to build her.
And after that a black cleaver. Then a defensive item.

Throw in some life steal. She tends to leave fights with half health (or maybe I'm just bad) and the life steal from something like BT or Starks is nice.

Lifesteal would be a waste. She can tumble away from a lot, she's ranged, and she can shoot targets away from her. She's there to poke, deal a lot of burst damage, and annoy. A ranged assassin, great ganker, and awesome at taking towers. I've yet to see great carrying capabilities in her, but that might just be me. Though she doesn't need lifesteal anymore than Ashe does. If you need it to survive with her, you're doing it wrong in my opinion.
